It's just a shoddy piece of journalism even if you take away the anti-Zip bias. How does a article get editor approval for print when it is basically just a summary of blogger commentary?

Amen. That is a story that even a non-fan could enjoy. The latest p.o.s. Zips article that the ABJ published couldn't be an enjoyable reading experience for anyone with an IQ over 15 or a Can't grad. The Beacon should be ashamed of the piss poor publishing they have purveyed pertaining to UA.

Why does the ABJ have an ax to grind with UA? This article is beyond ridiculous. The sooner that rag goes under the better.

Never mind the font, although the space between the W & O is turrible. You wanna know what really drives me crazy about our current unis? The name on the back is sewed onto a patch. The patch is sewed onto the jersey and extends into the stripe. Looks awful.

I would like Daumantas' better if the O & N were spaced like the AKR. Isaiah's isn't spaced badly but needs to be closer. I looked for a good example of the font looking bad and I found a basketball promo that shows pretty well. When looking at this example it's not the spacing but the height that is out of whack. The problem seems to be with the caps. Lower case stuff usually looks better. The word COUNTDOWN is atrocious.

I like the numbers alright, but I don't care for the letters. I have noticed in a lot of UA signage that the kerning is very uneven with letters. Once you see it, then it sticks out like a sore thumb.

UCF is a much better job than Iowa State if winning means anything.

I sat across from my brother-in-law, an Akron alum, at Thanksgiving dinner. He was totally oblivious to the whole "budget crisis". He is busy working, raising a son, working out and rooting for the Buckeyes to be aware of anything going on with UA. Makes me wonder how many people (who are not immersed in all things UA like us) pay any attention to this kind of "news".
