No matter what anyone else thinks about the 20 win streak, I am pretty sure I am permitted to be tired of hearing about it. Unless the Taliban has instituted some new rules I am not privy to.

I am pretty tired of hearing about the streak of 20 win seasons. Search Google for: current consecutive 20 win seasons college basketball Scroll through as many pages as you have the patience for and tell me how much it means, It's kinda like me bragging about my fourteen tailgates in a row where I chugged 20 beers. Sounds impressive until you find out they were O'Douls. The ultimate proof that the 20 win mark is a total paper tiger is that the Zips can still achieve it this year as they sit with a 9-8 conference record.

I am hearing more and more about teenagers not pursuing their driver's license. Blew my mind the first time I heard about it because like you, I could not wait to get behind the wheel. But back then getting away via automobile was truly freedom. We were unreachable until we arrived back home. All kids are tethered to their parents via cell phone today. Not only that. Parents get notifications all the time from other busybody parents on where their kids are and what they're doing via text. The old days of getting away and anonymously sowing some oats are much harder to do today. Might as well stay home.

Oh, Joe Akron watched the shit out of some OSU last year but don't kid yourself. . . There are people who attended last year that have a renewed sense of not only OSU pride resulting from the NC, but also B1G pride since the conference represented so well in the bowl games. State pride coupled with Midwest pride. The playoff proved what so many knew all along. The B1G is great, it just wasn't being given its propers because the SEC is in bed with ESPN. Also, they are just salivating to see Mark May eat crow. Any latent OSU fans are completely back out of the closet and basking in the Buckeyes glory. It's going to hurt, I'm afraid.

Wait 'til September rolls around and we see how Ohio State's 2014 National Championship negatively impacts Akron football attendance because everyone will be staying at home to watch the Bucks defend their title. It's all good, though. #TeamOhio
