Patrick Nicely- Hilarious Play (2010 Season)
akron football replied to MontrealExposloveZippy's topic in Akron Zips Football
I like that thinking. The best thing about last season is that it ended and could be quickly put out of mind, at least for those who chose not to dwell on it. College football can be a lot of fun as long as you're not mired in a long losing streak. So far the Zips record for the 2011-12 season is 0-0, so things are looking good. AMEN -

When you where reminising on a game you physically watched with your buddy you could not remember the game. I mean come on it was the most hillarious play and by the way it was against our nemisis. You are not a true zip fan pal. Go PN7! -

Hey wiseguy did you remember the win against Can't in his true freshmen year to win the wagon wheel just two days following his beloved grandfathers funeral. I think they were winning almost all there games going into the fourth quarter only to lose, theres more to football than stats. Div 6 JV huh! -
It's times like these that makes you count your blessing's. My heart goes out to his family. When your young you feel invincible but God has a plan. I'll say a prayer for him,RIP...

We had a good one here to at UofA. Carried us to a MAC Championship. One thing I know is that you can't measure heart! Ask Barry Sanders..

If the Zips start winning, Ianello's biggest detractors will be riding on the bandwagon as if they'd been there all along. I'd like to see if anyone continues to crusade for dumping Ianello if the Zips start winning. But the main thing I want to see is the Zips winning, whoever the coach may happen to be. I agree that we need to support him even though he's a tad bit arrogant and might need to work on his people skills. It is what it is...

------------------- At receiver, junior-college transfer and 2010 redshirt Marquelo Suel was the quarterbacks' preferred target all spring. Sophomores Nolan Procter, Keith Sconiers and Antoine Russell and junior Anthony Meriwether will be in the mix, as well as A.J. Price, an incoming junior-college transfer. ------------------- If A.J. Price is as good as we're all hoping, we really might have an excellent receiving corps this year. I've heard that yes he is good and has something to prove. Go Zips!

That's what I was thinking. If we can't contain our own offense, those guys in Cowlumbus will just run right over us. It was also a defense that was missing 4 starters and wasn't really allowed to do much of anything because it was a spring game. Joe Bauserman looks to be the starter at OSU while Pryor is out. Pathetic doesn't even describe how awful he is. I would stack the box and make them beat us by throwing the ball. Stoneburner will be tough to defend at TE and Chris Fields will be very good. Their running game scares me, but Bauserman doesn't. I don't care who he has as receivers, he couldn't hit anyone last year. Don't forget, they were recording QB sacks simply by touching the QB. So, they had plenty of advantages that they wouldn't get under normal circumstances too. Giving up 550 years during a continuous-clock scrimmage to our offense should be ALARMING at this point of the year, when offenses tend to have very little continuity. I just don't get the lack of concern. 550 years, really, I swear sometimes I can't believe what I read here. I think that this year will be very interesting. The buckeyes are without a doubt hurt not only emotionally but physically what with losing not only there five best players which will have a trickle down effect. But when you lose your Head Coach it will effect them. If we can come out with a sense of urgency and if everyone can know there job and execute there job it will and can be interesting. We have nothing to lose, we are not expected to win so let's go out and have some fun and shock the world! Go Zips!

Patrick Nicely- Hilarious Play (2010 Season)

I highly recommend to all true football and zip fans to support PN7 he is and will be your starting QB. If anyone out there thinks otherwise you just don't have a clue. Patrick has done everything he's been asked to, it's not his fault that the players around him have not. I've watched way to many dropped passes missed blocking assignments wrong routes run and for anyone from Montreal or Missippi to start a post about a play that happened in a game where he was sacked seven times and was trying to make a play is not a true Zip fan. I support him 100% and this year you'll see, nobody works harder than PN7. Go Zips and go PN7! -

ABJ Spring Football Coverage Continues

Come on fellow Zip fans, mark this down PN7 will be the starting QB. Clayton will be a fine backup. Junior College come on!

Absolutely they should be compensated, as much money as the school makes why can't they throw a couple hundred there way. When I hear that there getting there education paid for I just think yea but they don't have a normal college life. Let's see get up at 5 in the morning run, lift then go to school then back for lift and film and get home late. How much will Akron get for the OSU game? I think that takes care of there payroll and uniforms. We still have how many games left. While all there fellow students get to go out with there friends to eat and enjoy college life the athlete has to workout and watch film and prepare for there opponent. Hopefully we can get a MAC Championship this year. Go Zips!

I grew up being a Browns fan and still am, I always have respected the Steelers. They do things right but at the end of the day you win with players. Big Ben is probably the best QB in the leaugue. My mother was Art Modell's seceratary so it kills me to say but the experience of the MAC product will prevail. Should be a good one though.

Could someone please do some research on another Div. 1 coach that was hired without ever being a coordinator and never playing football... -
What do you feel are our strength's and our weakness?

Where is the all knowing all seeing Captain Kangaroo to let us all know what and who we need to support or kick to the curb? I'm waiting with baited breath. We all need to be optimistic for the future because it does not matter what we think, ICoach will have another year regardless. Congrats to the players forgetting a win under certain durress.

How did heend the game with a turnover? Did he catch it and fumble it? moron
-
Should players be allowed to be automatically released if the coaching staff is fired? Should they tough it out as there team is gutted?
-
Does anyone know the average field position that we have had this year starting our offensive drives?

Thanksgiving Dessert Saves Zips From Winless Season
akron football replied to Big Zip's topic in Akron Zips Football
Let's imagine the dropped TD's and the int.s thrown from recievers running wrong routes, int.s at the end of hopeless games and his percentage after all the dropped passes. Also what thirty players left the team due to a number of issues. I bet you can ask any coach in the MAC and they would love to have PN7. People that know football know!
