  1. Even when we blitz we can't get pressure.
  2. I was talking Demetrick. He played some last year before getting hurt and would add some much needed size at LB and might be otherwise starting, though I am liking what I've seen from Bischoff so far tonight.
  3. Boogie.,..
  4. From what I can gather we are likely down at least the following players: Gest, Kato, Mathison, Lubin (no longer on roster), Glover, and Watts solely based on them being players you would expect to be playing. I'm sure there are others as well. We are playing with close to 30 scholarships under the max.
  5. we forced a punt! also, both of Gibson's throws on the first drive were to walk-ons.
  6. Giving me flashbacks of Tyrell Goodman finishing the season against OU a few years ago because we had nobody else. Ugh.
  7. Out of curiousity, where are you seeing these rankings?
  8. Another question I'd be curious to get an answer on. Unlike in football, there a no annual scholarship limits in basketball I believe. I also am of the understanding that winter sports will not count against a player's eligibility this season (thus seniors should be allowed t come back next year). How many scholarships are allowed to add/what is the new max while COVID-19 allowances are in place?
  9. How doesn't it make sense? There is a list on here that shows nearly 20 commits to the program for next year on this website. The players have tweeted that they have committed, but 247 has not updated their website. Of the commits that 247 does show, 4 of them have "NA". They aren't ranked yet but eventually will be.
  10. This isn’t accurate. The CB was updated to a 3 star. Many of our commits aren’t even showing on 247, let alone ranked. We should end up having double digit 3 stars IMO. There is plenty immediate help in JUCO and the transfer portal...how much immediate help will they take is the question. I don’t think they did enough in their 1st 2 seasons here. But what that said, playing so many young players should pay off down the road. The question is will they (the players and staff) be here?
  11. Mid-Majors with great guard play are the ones who win games in the tourney. I think its clear how Groce prefers to build his team at this point. Defensive anchors in the middle surrounded by talented, athletic players. One exception may be Taylor Currie, but his pedigree is worth it.
  12. We can't catch a break.
  13. Mirambeaux should be announcing his decision in 30 mins TX time.
  14. He played quite a bit last year and I believe quite a bit last week..at least much more than a play. I don’t remember him making a play his entire career thus far.
  15. Any player can play any amount of time this season and not have it count towards a year of eligibility. Which freshman did you expect to be on the field that weren’t?
  16. Our TE did actually catch a pass. However, staying true to form throughout their career thus far, actually got hurt on the play.
  17. Also playing a lot was true freshman Tony Grimes, who is a walk on. Both him and Naim were getting playing time over Terry Bowden recruit Gavin Blunt, who is on scholly and did play, as well as scholly WR Kevin Walls, who I don't believe played. A lot the personnel didn't make much sense to me either. I have to assume it mostly wasn't out of choice.
  18. I also wonder if Mathison got hurt. I didn't see him on the field at all in the 2nd half. Seems like he's probably our best offensive weapon.
  19. Perspective is important. If we still had UMASS, YSU, and NMSU on the schedule I'd expect a couple wins. Instead we get stuck with a MAC West contender and suddenly a pretty good MAC East. Many redshirt freshman, true freshman, and even walk-ons spent a lot of time on the field last night. If anyone expected this team to be around .500 this season, you haven't been paying attention. We will be lucky to win one game, and we really need to win one to get the stink off of us. I updated the scholarship chart based on the most current roster. We have 65 players on scholly. TWENTY down from the max..so 20 down from the rest of our competition. Tough for anybody to win with that, but Arth does deserve some blame for not doing more to keep players here. I think he is too high on character, which is a good thing for the future, but not now. I think he has driven many players out because of that. On top of the numbers, there were many scholarship players who seemingly weren't available last night - whether it be from corona or injuries. Cole Gest, Kato, DeMarkus Glover, Demetrick Watts, and Eric Bentley are all players you'd expect to see out there, but they weren't at all. The program really was tore down to the studs and is in the process of being built back up. Just win a game this season, if he can't do that....we may be looking at starting back over, and I fear starting the "rebuilding" process yet again. Zips Football Scholarship Chart.xlsx
  20. defense needs a lot of work.
  21. I don't like Arth being conservative at the end of the half here. 3 timeouts and you need to score to keep pace
  22. Damn, nice play by WMU. Some safety help would have been nice though
