  1. I most definitely missed the news release on the tournament going to 8 teams. Was this part of the COVID related cost cutting measures the conference took?
  2. That is Mike Wynn. In the words of Mary Kay Cabot, "Tribble has an ankle" per Groce in his post game presser last night.
  3. Impressive come from behind win. We are so lucky to have LCJ and to be getting the production we are out of Freeman, because in general I am still very disappointed from what we are getting from our major conference transfers (Wynn, Trimble, Dailey, and Currie). Everyone else is playing about how I'd think they would. Dawson needs more minutes. His shot was scary last year, but he seems to have found it and plays with a bunch of effort. Currie's body language looks pee poor on the bench. He might be a one and done with the program unless there is something we don't know. We need more from those 4 if we want to win the conference. Go Zips and Kent State still sucks!
  4. These announcers kind of suck. Keep calling Garvin, “Gavin”
  5. Nice play by Clarke with Tribble out. He really doesn't look that much bigger than LCJ.
  6. The only player Kent returned in their rotation this year was Pippen and they were just affected by Covid. Our excuses don’t work against them. 13 + minutes through the first half and the only player to score is LCJ. Newcomers need to step it up.
  7. Can’t rebound, can’t shoot, can’t create, can’t defend the paint. Not a recipe for success right now
  8. I’ve got to admit, I’m having trouble see what Mike Wynn is bringing on the floor.
  9. Sloppy start
  10. Gibson was a freshman this year and will be a freshman next year. I can't agree with writing him off for the future. He showed some positives and some negatives and I believe the negatives are correctable. With that said, I don't care who the QB is next year. I'm looking forward the competition over a full offseason and the cream rising to the top.
  11. Here we go! Wonder if he'll play ILB or OLB. Seems like we have a lot at OLB already. I would think Scott Aligo being at Michigan State may have played some part in this.
  12. Holy crap. that escalated quickly. Ashley continues to impress.
  13. Screw Boehiem and screw Buffalo.
  14. Do any of his previously recruited UA players with eligibility end up there?
  15. I feel like I said it in another thread, but its better we had our COVID issues in the irrelevant non-conference rather than now. Getting a crappy seed due to cancelling multiple conference games would suck.
  16. well hell hell
  17. I'm about 90% positive Harris was a scholarship player brought in with the staff's first class. He didn't play at all last season due to injury and barely made any appearances on the field this year. Good luck to him. Looking forward to seeing how the staff can use his scholarship to improve the team. This is the type of player where its probably best for both sides to move on.
  18. Never gets old kicking OU's a$$. Media can keep picking them ahead of us and write all the feel good stories about their players they want. We'll keep winning.
  19. Outside of a few blown defensive assignments on pick and roll D, very nice first half. Getting contributions from everyone.
  20. Whether its been Tribble or LCJ, i've noticed we've been pressuring him full court. Coaching staff must agree. Seems he's feeling it though.
  21. No reason to get excited outside of it being a local kid from a good program coming back home. He's likely a walk-on, so I imagine not missing anything.
  22. No different than Notre Dame going to get cream pied by Alabama like they just did by Clemson with Lawrence. I remember UCF beating Auburn, Boise beating Oklahoma, and Houston beating Florida State in big bowl games. Houston beat Oklahoma a few years ago in regular season. Its what makes sports great. The G5 track record in their auto bid large bowl games isn't that bad in recent history. Very few blowouts. Even the MAC representatives haven't gotten blown out.
  23. Amen. I have very little interest in the CFP. Grew up an OSU fan but get zero enjoyment now out of watching them blowout teams 10/13 games a season. I much more enjoy following the Zips through ups and downs and hoping it will pay off one day, sort of the like the Browns are now but the NFL is different obviously. We need more parity in CFB. Cap coaching salaries, cap spending on facilities, recruiting budgets, whatever it may be. Many I'm sure are against that and it's likely well justified, but the current state of CFB is broken.
  24. The silver lining for us is that we should have plenty to choose from to fill the class out, assuming the staff is looking to start filling holes and going to more of a win now mode of course. Should be some talent out there that can really help us out.
  25. ‘Twas sarcasm, and a typo in my initial post.
