random observation - watching the NU/Duke game, it looks like Northwestern's sideline is the sideline opposite of the pressbox?! I hope my tickets are on Akron's sideline....

So ISU's schedule is Iowa, Oklahoma, Akron, TCU. That's us sandwiched between some TOUGH games. Good time to play them, IMO.

I expect our D to dominate. Looking forward to seeing Brady. Curious to see our whole offense. Development of Kato, stable of RBs, new faces on the line, and the revamped WR unit. Hopefully we are in a position to get Alex some PT as well.

Meh. I'm upset too just because I wanted to see my Zips play. The weather robbed us of 1 out of the 12 guaranteed times we get to see them play. It was also a big game too. I'm sure some Nebraska fans feel the same. Plus there is no guarantee they are going to make a bowl and we were one of their easier opponents that could help them get there, though i agree, it wasn't necessarily going to be a gimme W for them. Some of them saying we chickened out or something is just dumb. I hope it gets made up, unless we are playing for a MAC-C.

Looks like we are going to be in the same row and section. I got a steal for $20 for two after stubhub fees. Cheaper than a Zips game!

I wouldn't be shocked if Nebraska is really good soon, but they're starting a true freshman QB, just lost a QB to the NFL, and are coming off a 4-8 season. Meister acting like they're world beaters all the sudden definitely shows he's drinking the red kool aid. This isn't an Oklahoma or Penn State caliber program right now. This was a winnable Pitt-esque level of game and I'm disappointed it isn't happening.

Good point. I didn't watch the game and Kent may be improved, but we need to keep perspective that Illinois is a really bad P5 program.

I'm looking forward to making the trip, but I'd bet they give us our worst loss this year.

I feel like I'm missing something with this post. Jonah Morris listed as a starter over MTB is surprising considering we haven't heard much about him since he's been here and likely good considering MTB was a solid WR before. Also a little surprised to see Ward listed as a starter over Brady. Figured Reinke moving to TE would have cleared the way for Brady.

Per that presser, Brimage only has a sprained MCL and is expected to be out 3-4 weeks. TB said he was somewhere between 2-3rd team, however. I never heard TB be that open about an injury before. Council got moved to RT which is interesting. Must not have been happy with Bullard there, which is not a big surprise. Hunter Corne is now the starting LG (took Councils spot). I didn't hear anything about Trevor Brown. Hopefully that means he is fine. Van Edwards apparently clear #1. Sands #2. Floyd and Alce been battling injuries all camp.
