  1. He just can't find a home.
  2. That article did bring up a good point. It probably really is a 4 team race for the MAC East this year with Ohio, Akron, Miami, and Buffalo all expecting to compete. Should be some fun football....Also NIU's nonconference probably has us beat. Sheesh.
  3. We might soon have to pay more money to watch our Zips. https://deadspin.com/espns-new-4-99-a-month-service-is-taking-away-some-pro-1824262409
  4. Are you alright @a-zip? Happy Easter buddy.
  5. Couple things - that sounds pretty neat. I'd like to see the movie. The trailer link at the bottom in the article takes you to some website that's all in some asian language. Are we sure he still holds the record for most punt return yards in a season?? I'd bet Jojo has that record now. edit - whoops! Just saw the article is dated for 2012.
  6. Of course you do. What don't you disagree with or question? You're probably against saying the pledge of allegiance as well since it has "God" in it. The horror! For the record, I'm not religious. I enjoyed some pepperoni pizza for lunch today. Just can think of a million other things I give a damn more about.
  7. I hope we can get one of these guards. I also hope a good enough one might already be on the team....
  8. Ya'll need to stop making me worry dammit!
  9. that explains some of your posts....... i kid i kid.... maybe.
  10. NIU losing best returning LB. Sounds like a crybaby using MAC awards as reason, tbh. https://macprospectus.com/2018/03/28/jawaun-johnson-lb-niu-grad-transfer/
  11. Right. Give us this Hilltopper - past UA coach, player, or old "name" that has no prior relation to UA?
  12. We have 3 transfers who will be eligible next season, ideally 2 players who were injured most of the year back, and still have, at minimum, 2 scholarships open. Infusion of talent is coming.
  13. Wow. That's the team that smoked us in the NIT in '17, right?
  14. Not sure if this is someone to keep an eye on or not. http://verbalcommits.com/players/te-jon-lucas
  15. We did?!? I only remember Malcolm and Smith. Did we do something similar with Treadwell and Harney being that they were non-qualifiers? I don't remember. Ivey is a greyshirt, IIRC...I believe due to being a qualifier out of HS. I think they key would be, if he were looking to transfer, is whether or not he will graduate. Let's hope he stays regardless...I don't know why he wouldn't be excited about next season.
  16. It would be news to me if there was a single high school, collegiate (well maybe not counting Oberlin), or professional team who did not have some sort of prayer before and/or after games. The essential gist for those of you who may not know, at least in my experience, is "thank you God for looking over our teammates and keeping us safe. Please look over x player who was injured." I certainly wouldn't consider it preaching/pushing religious beliefs upon people. If participating offends you that much? Don't bow your head. Just like you'd do in a wedding or a funeral or whatever else it may come up. I agree with you that it *could* create problems, because this is America in 2018 and everybody has to be offended over something, but I've never heard of anyone creating a stink over it.
  17. FWIW, I'm not bashing anyone who also roots for OSU (assuming Akron is #1). I get it. I still do, though they are a very distant 2nd and I seemingly care less about them as each year passes. It's kind of boring expecting to win every game and only having 2-3 tough games a year with most others over by half-time honestly.
  18. IDK where else to put this...but I thought it was odd. I don't think I've heard of an eligibility situation like this before. Good luck LaVonne.
  19. FYI - this article is from last year
  20. Man...even as a Zips fan, shame on you, kind of. We deal with something similar with OSU. Many students grow up OSU fans (including myself) and continue to root for them even after attending/graduating from UA, and even against UA. . Though I guess it isn't completely apples to apples as ISU does not have a FBS football program. I say you should root for ISU vs us.
  21. Woops! Thanks for the clarification. I was all sorts of lost lol. Can't blame me though will all the Hurley/Buffalo talk.
  22. Pi$$ on Bobby Hurley. I did not realize Pitt made that crazy of an offer to him, though. Wonder why he chose ASU over them, then?
  23. Pitt is stupid then. Probably explains why they're a joke now. Oats is already more accomplished than Hurley ever was at Buffalo. 2 MAC titles in 3 years and a tourney win.
  24. You're ruining it, kreed! I was trying to catch him.
