  1. You typical negative nancies are such crybabies. All you do is yell and cry and provide zero substance. Quit acting surprised at the outcome thus far. The Zips are getting beat by the class of the MAC. The world is ending!!!!
  2. I'd prefer for us to save the trick plays for games we have a shot of winning.
  3. The game plan on offense is now effectively scratched as the defense has shown zero ability to stop Toledo. Attempting to play catch up the rest of the game now.
  4. Did anybody catch the WR who dropped the ball? I thought it looked like #19. The announcers said it was Stewart #15. Either way, it looks like one of them was getting a chance.
  5. Butler continues to get annihilated.
  6. The thing is, I can't even get excited if we win the East as this is what would be waiting on us in the MAC Championship.
  7. Think there should have been a flag there for PI.
  8. Nice job Gilbert. D could have had one on the first drive as well, but no defender was in position. Lets go O!
  9. 3 and out and the game could be over before it begins if Toledo goes down and scores here. All because of an inexcusable drop. I'm sure it will be blamed on Milwee though.
  10. Good point I haven't really thought about. I am high on the 2 starters Dailey and Brown. Obviously Butler is #3 and I think we should have better. After that......I don't even know who we would turn to.
  11. A.J. Conley Catch the damn ball.
  12. Nickel corner is by far the weakest link on the defense. Always getting beat, never making plays.
  13. Don't know why, but I LOL'd at this. Any publicity is good publicity, amirite?!
  14. Let's go Zippers. Shock the MAC!
  15. Looks like we have scrimmages lined up with Detroit and Canisius. One of only 2 MAC programs with 2 scrimmages.
  16. Buchtel had a big upset of East last night. https://www.ohio.com/akron/sports/high-school/city-series/high-school-football-buchtel-15-east-13-brandon-mcginnis-devin-west-lead-griffins-to-city-series-victory Powers, Buchtel's coach, had good things to say about Floyd (and Bridges).
  17. Go Zips!
  18. Who cares if we are winning games!?! Isn't that the ultimate goal here!?! We don't have the personnel currently to have some Toledo-like offense you and your buddy are dreaming of. To think otherwise is idiotic. ive used factual data to show Millwee can have the "MACtion" offense with the right personnel, but it's been conveniently ignored multiple times now. bitching just to bitch is all this is.
  19. I know I'm one of the less grumpier folks on this board; but I'm pretty excited at the thought of Ramart/Kato throwing to MTB/Stewart/Williams/McGriff/Kwad/Hooks/Booker next season or one of them handing it off to Sands/Suggs/White behind our seasoned O-Line. We seem to have some weapons coming up. Nobody can deny that we are lacking them this season. Yes somebody is to blame for that. Is the blame big enough for them to be fired even if the Zips quite possibly have their 3rd best or better season this year? I suppose time will tell.
  20. So your main complaint is that you don't find it fun to watch? I was hoping for a better breakdown, Keener. Did you miss the part of my post where I stated what the offense did during the 2016 OOC when we had an actual solid MAC QB throwing to solid MAC WRs? Would you prefer the Zips of now or the Zips of 2012? I enjoy watching a winning program.
  21. I've been impressed with Brian Bell ever since he's been back this year. He seemed to always be a step behind or late last year. I haven't noticed it yet this season.
  22. Just seems like we've always gotta complain about something. The first time i've heard the Mileee grumblings like this all year, and it comes after one of the best program wins in his tenure. I don't think he's perfect. I've tried telling everyone he called plays that first year everyone loves to talk about. I know first hand from a former GA and have provided articles with Bowden stating as such. Anywho, like I said he definitely isn't perfect. I don't agree with throwing it on 3rd and 2. I don't like that we didn't score a single point in the 2nd half, but it was enough to win the game. Lets take a look back at last year's OOC. We averaged 40 points a game with a healthy QB1 and Ball for 1.5 of those games. This includes a FCS team, Wisconsin, a 10 win/Sunbelt champ App State team, and setting the single game scoring record at Marshall, a record that I believe still stands, even with a Heisma winner-led Louisville going there the very next week. He doesn't seem to do too bad with some actual talent to work with right? Everyone can admit we lack playmakers on the offensive side of the ball. QB1 play has never been a real issue, which is his duty. What do they say...jimmies and joes are more important than Xs and Os. Looking back at the bowl season. The defense obviously carried us. Our best playmakers were Hundley, a converted LB playing WR for the first time and??? Frankly the only time he has stuck out to me this year was the 3rd down call and the 2nd half vs WMU, but like I said, it was enough to win the game.
  23. Agreed. Part of what makes me hope Bowden finishes this year strong is that we seemingly have our best recruiting class to date and I don't want that to fall apart. Plenty of true fresh are playing and playing well this year with what they've been asked to do. I think we are starting to see some actual depth being established. I've done a lot of thinking about next year for whatever reason, and I don't really have any concerns. The Zips should be MAC East favorites imo. We return a lot/have guys with good potential. The one question mark will be QB, but I feel good about one of Kato or Ramart being able to get the job done.
  24. I just don't see us having the offensive fire power to keep up with Toledo, as it seems the only way to beat them is in a shootout. someone mentioned their back up QB being from Hudson. That's my answer, Woodside being knocked out of the game early. They've got the MACs best QB, WR Corp (even with Thompson out), and a very good RB in Swanson.
  25. Letuli stuck out in a bad way yesterday, but it seems like an anomaly compared to the rest of the season as he has been mostly good/above average. i think we can all agree that this isn't some giant win. Good to great win sure. Point is, I'm seeing a lot of alumni who never give a crap any other time show some excitement over it. I'd imagine it has to do a lot with WMU's 2016 season. Let's keep it up!
