  1. Zero camp coverage so far. Unacceptable.
  2. Nice article here by EA. http://www.cleveland.com/sports/college/index.ssf/2017/07/nfl_hall_of_famer_jason_taylor.html
  3. What if that 13-0 season included wins over a #5 Penn State for example and maybe even a New Year's Day bowl win?
  4. Of course, he is listed on the roster as a Redshirt Jr. somehow. How that can be when he is a member of the class of 2016 is beyond me. Sucks he will have to sit out a year as I'm sure we could use him.
  5. Unsure of validity but
  6. Rodney sort of led to Frank Clark decking his teammate. http://deadspin.com/frank-clark-injures-teammate-with-flying-punch-1797535421?utm_campaign=socialflow_deadspin_twitter&utm_source=deadspin_twitter&utm_medium=socialflow Also, I heard Marcus injured his leg towards the end of practice yesterday. Haven't heard an update.
  7. Obv this is a pipe dream, but I guess I'll play along. Like Keener, I'd be thrilled to get him, but only if he brought in a competent OC. His teams regularly grossly underachieved on offense with the talent he had down there in Baton Rouge.
  8. Good point. Hearing that U just graduated their largest senior class ever is good to hear. I think we were in school only ~30-35% of students who began college at UA ended up graduating. Plenty of room for improvement.
  9. Rob Fulford is a good follow on twitter for anything Zips MBB, especially for any recruiting news.
  10. UA was, I believe, the only college to get a name drop during the inductee announcements before the Hall of Fame game. Hopefully the 23k avid football fans there learned something.
  11. Would be a good case study for the MAC if it ends up happening. http://footballscoop.com/news/fbs-conference-considering-leaving-tv-completely-go-completely-online/
  12. Thanks for sharing the tidbits. I was not able to make the Cleveland meet up this year and probably won't be able to make the Akron one either, but I did enjoy myself at last year's in Cleveland. Never thought of checking to see if any Zn.O members were going. I need a little more clarification on how we were able to beat the 30 million deficit last year, but still face a 29 million deficit this upcoming year. I've read maybe one article about it, and it basically said the U refinanced debt, got some unexpected state funding, and did not fill positions that were created due to departures. Seems to me that 2 out of 3 of those could be considered "fixed" expense reductions, so I just don't see how it is still such a big deficit.
  13. I'm glad we offended the hippies. More drama for the rivalry is a good thing.
  14. In b4 Buckzip comes back trying to say Barto "chose" EIU over us.
  15. I hear them all the time on 94.9
  16. Will Barto is a funny example. There isn't enough coverage to know all of the details. I would imagine we pulled the offer on the kid. I'd much rather have Meeks anyways who probably had a better offer list pre-injury than any other MAC commit in 2017, but I do agree that all of these guys not qualifying is getting a bit depressing. Crying about the "local" kids is dumb though as the current crop have not played a single down yet and we have had many local kids be key cogs on the team. I believe there were even some articles on it during the bowl season.
  17. Jamal Marcus is putting in extra work alongside two other notable Browns draft picks. http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/20211023/myles-garrett-deshone-kizer-do-100-yard-sprints-cleveland-browns-practice
  18. ha....Whoops! http://footballgameplan.com/fbgps-giants-training-camp-interview-jerome-lane/
  19. Looks like we lost out on Nate Bauer (Hoban WR) to Toledo. I also saw the Barberton player (whose name is slipping my mind) committed to Ohio.
  20. Lane interviewed. http://footballgameplan.com/fbgps-giants-training-camp-interview-jerome-lane/
  21. Great point Balsy. Joe Thomas said essentially the same when asked about the recent CTE study the other day, that the findings don't mean much without being able to compare it to the general population.
  22. Everyone is certainly entitled to their own opinions of coaching/admin/players/etc, but I agree with @MDZip 100% on the effects it could have. Just something to consider before hitting the post button.
