  1. This is true.
  2. We need to remember Ohio still has to play Toledo. Almost a guaranteed L there. They really could lose any of their remaining games. I guess the same could be said for us too...
  3. How about we just beat Ohio so we don't have to worry about any of this Prior to this season, the I have never seen the Zips beat BG or OU since I've been a fan. Only makes sense to get both monkey's off the back in the same season.
  4. I'll keep a look out. I feel like the CBSSports games usually end up in full on Youtube.
  5. I have never heard of getting an auto bid as a result of being a division winner. I agree wits most likely, but any proof to this?
  6. Ianello is not the OC.
  7. You all better be ready to pony up @Cykron . I'd imagine Campbell is going to be in high demand.
  8. Impressive indeed. The Big 12 runs through them. Not sure if they can survive the 3 week gauntlet of TCU/WVU/Ok St though.
  9. I'm not really looking to get into another argument, but I would guess his, and most other predictions of the game were made under the assumption that the 3rd string QB would be starting. Jackson in there instead of him makes a big difference.
  10. 1. Agree regarding defense. I don't like the bend don't break. How about let's not bend at all. Biggest issue seems to be run game and short passing game, which is probably more of a reflection of the front 7, oh and, the slot corner. I never really see Brown/Dailey get beat. The did a solid job on Williams after his long YAC on the first play. 2. I believe I saw him back in the game after the injury. Hopefully I'm right. 3. Could have been better. I'd like Woody to execute better on what should be some automatic throws. He, and the offense, did come through in the clutch though. It seemed we either drove right down the field or had 3 and outs all day. No in between. 4. Agreed. We've all been saying this. Thank God they went with the most talented RB healthy on the final 2 drives. Really sealed the game and hopefully Sands is the lead back going forward. Some real nice runs by him. Wasn't pretty, but a W is a W. Still tied for first place in the East. I was really doubting we could come out of this with a W. Just seems like blowing this one was an Akron thing to do. The offense made plays when it needed to. Props to Gladney on his TD catch. His guy was draped all over him. Props to the D for stepping up and forcing the long FG, even though part of the blame is on Buffalo for the miss, and props to the O-line/Sands for getting the first downs to close out the game. Miami(OH) up next for bowl eligibility!
  11. Garbage? You were just talking them up a few weeks ago.
  12. I heard about the knee surgery,, but they made it seem like he was back/wasn’t on the injury report any more.
  13. Might be time to throw in Kato, at least for a drive to switch it up. Woody is missing some throws that are inexcusable and costing us.
  14. -2 rush yards in the half vs the 115th ranked rush D in the nation. More Morgan and Sands, less Edwards.
  15. Defense really needs to tighten up in the 2nd half.Buffalo is dinking and dunking us at will.
  16. DenZel Butler getting burnt. In other news, water is wet. Gonna be a long one fellas
  17. That was definitely targeting. And I don’t know how Darryl Long has so much trouble getting on the field at TE with his supposed ability.
  18. Good job Alvin. You aren’t valuable if you aren’t available.
  19. What a horrible turn of events. Bench Junk’s ass for that stupid penalty (even though it was a weak call imo) and make the god damn field goal O’Leary.
  20. Run the damn ball on a long 3rd and 1. Buffalo ranks 115th in the nation in run D if I heard correctly.
  21. Per French, Tyree Jackson was out on the field warming up.
  22. So it swung by 4 points this week. Seems excessive.....and baseless.
  23. It's a great day for a ZIPS WIN! Also glad I don't have to wait til this evening or even the next day to watch...
  24. There aren't high expectations for the team this year, but I do think they have some talent to surprise us. The thing is, IMO, the MAC is not scary at all this year. The exodus of talent from the conference after last season is well documented. I looked at the pre-season all MAC teams and came away unimpressed. Thompson IV (EMU), Wilder (WMU), and Walker (KSU) seem like the 3 best players. After that............a huge meh.
  25. Lot of smack talk re: the true freshman QB, probably rightfully so. Sure would be embarrassing if he came back home and kicked our asses though.
