  1. I wonder why Fox and ESPN are not going to air the anthem this weekend. They must not like higher ratings... http://money.cnn.com/2017/10/13/media/nfl-national-anthem/index.html?sr=twmoney101317nfl-national-anthem1116PMVODtopLink&linkId=43483732
  2. Ya'll are so mean to each other. Go Zips!
  3. Interesting. In FY16, Ohio spent more on primary and secondary education than ever before in history. In fact, education spending has increased from the state's general fund budget every year since FY 2011. http://education.ohio.gov/Topics/Finance-and-Funding/Overview-of-School-Funding
  4. Turned a 30 million deficit into a multi-million surplus, among other things, and people are complaining about him getting a raise. I would like to say I'm shocked but I am not. How dare anyone be fairly compensated for their work
  5. He looks like he put on some mass........ FYI, it is now re-branded as the "G-League".
  6. Calling out the leading WR who is the best athlete in the position group and has the best YAC potential as well as our best WR (really not even close) in Chapman and Wolf just strikes me as odd.The first guys I'd be complaining about regarding playing time is Gladney, Young, and maybe even Bickley. Then again Wolf didn't play the first 3 games so.......apparently that wasn't enough for any of these freshman to really break into the rotation either. And I'll repeat, I have advocated for Williams and Stewart to get some chances as the guys I've mentioned above have peaked by this time in their career and aren't bringing much to the table. These posts just scream agenda to me.
  7. Next level? Haha. Chapman has no chance at the next level. I think the staff has a vested interest in playing their best players. Not sure why anyone here would think otherwise. Chapman needs to catch the ball better, but I'm pretty sure he is leading the team in receptions...........Chapman is also not an outside WR like Stewart is. Look I like what I've seen so far out of Stewart, its also my opinion that he should get some reps if healthy. Before you hate on the staff, how many other staffs gave him a chance to play FBS ball?
  8. Daishawn looks like a dawg. http://www.hudl.com/v/283V4A
  9. And...he's back!
  10. Nah man I don't buy it. There will never be a tax code written and passed that essentially says "any NFL owner who allows their team to kneel for the anthem will be subject to a higher tax bracket". We live in a democracy not a dictatorship the last I checked.
  11. I'm just giving you a hard time Balsy! But Zippy5 is right....the NFL is no longer a tax exempt organization, so Trump is just looking like an idiot by making those threats.
  12. Well Kincade did have all the offers and stars that everyone wants
  13. I've gotta say, I love the tape of Ramart as well as the work ethic I've seen on social media, but why do you say he is really really good?
  14. The NY post? Seriously? Not only is this not the "peer-reviewed research" you are constantly clamoring for, but a tabloid?!
  15. boo freakin' hoo. I question your credibility if you think a redshirt freshman is better to lead this team than somebody who was well on their way to owning every Akron passing record before missing the majority of their junior season with injury, you are a better talent evaluater than the coaching staff, and you constantly come on here and clamor for Stewart getting more time when the coach has said repeatedly he has been injured and was even the #1 WR before the injury. Your relative is better buds with the redshirt freshman because they started the same year and is therefore calling for him because he shows some potential. I. Am. Shocked.
  16. Looks like Lane will remain unemployed.
  17. Well we do currently have a RB committed with offers from Akron, Army, BG, Buffalo, FAU, Illinois, Louisville, Minnesota, USF, Syracuse, UAB and a WR committed with offers from Akron, Boston College, Cincinnati, Kent State, Miami, Toledo
  18. They do??!?! I was unable to watch anything live on the CBSSports app last season on my FireTV. Hopefully they joined the 21st century and changed that. Regardless, I'll be recording and watching after. Taking my concealed carry license class on Saturday @Balsy. Too many crazies in this world.
  19. 20,199 per Gozips.com ............
  20. Wowee. re: Miami/BG http://screengrabber.deadspin.com/here-is-how-to-turn-victory-into-defeat-in-99-yards-1819251667?utm_campaign=socialflow_deadspin_twitter&utm_source=deadspin_twitter&utm_medium=socialflow
  21. I think EMU is pretty legit. Potentially a top 3 MAC squad. Still not sold on Buffalo. I think the jury is still out on them. Wins vs Kent, Colgate, and FAU don't impress me much.
  22. Almost up there with App St and Michigan?! LOL. We will see how it looks when the season plays out. I would be its more along the lines of 6-6 VT beating OSU.
  23. I don't think I've watched them yet, but I would lean towards mediocre. It's hard to get a good read on them based on results. Wins vs Rhode Island, Kansas, and now Ohio. 3 score + losses to Boston College, Syracuse, and Miami (OH).
  24. I haven't thought WMU was near as good as last season to begin with. Toledo is in a league or their own this year, IMO. I believe my Z-fund bet is with Hilltopper, so this one obviously has big implications. Concentrate on stopping the run and make that QB and those WRs beat you is what I would do. I do predict Darius Phillips will have a return for a TD. He is a legit play maker. They even have used him on offense some.
  25. Agree with most others. A game I actually enjoyed watching for the first time since at least early last season (I can't really remember). Even though Ball State is probably a bottom 3-4 team in the MAC, it was nice to see us pretty much kick ass. Agree that Sands and Morgan should be top 2 RBs and it seemed to be trending that way via snap count as the game went on. Agree the WR rotation should tightened up. I'm tired of targeting #17. It almost never results in a completion. Chapman really does need to catch the ball better, but I like his YAC ability. In no order, Coney, Wolf, Smith, and Chapman should be the top 4. With some Bickley, Stewart, and possibly Williams sprinkled in to see if any of those guys can make an impact. I'm not super high on Bickley myself, but he has shown to make plays with the ball in his hands. He was a starter at the beginning of the season, but seemed to get injured and is now out of the rotation completely. Pretty pleased with the defense. Bend but not break, and came up with stops when we needed to. How about a shout out to Trevor Brown ( @Zipmlady ). He did a heck of a job on the hyped-nation's-sack leader Winbush yesterday. The whole O-line actually seemed to do a pretty good job. Not sure how I feel about Woody and the overthrow comments. A few of them were to #17, who I said, never seems to be a completion when targeted. Deep throws are never high completion throws to begin with and its not like he is throwing to studs. Wind could have played a factor, the kicker's had trouble getting the ball to stay on the tee. I would probably like to see him connect on 1 or 2 more realistically. Its not like he was missing guys with nobody within 5 yards of them. They might have barely had a step. The throw to Kwad was beautiful. Yeah, yeah Ball St was missing two of their best players. Last time I checked, our offensive and defensive captains are out for the year. I do think their freshman WR and RB have bright futures. Clearly Ball St's two best players on offense yesterday. Sidenote: I was not able to watch the game until late last night. I have never noticed how horrible Reghi and Cherry were!! Reghi must have called Sands a true freshman 10 times, among other errors.
