  1. I think Moorhead called the game last night with the intent of protecting Finley (OSU game on the otherhand..). He’s either healthy enough to play or he isn’t. Toughen up and don’t play scared if you’re good enough to play. Schockingly, assuming Cooper and David’s injuries aren’t long term (which my assumption is they arent), I think we’re coming out of this guantlet relatively healthy. Obviously played some tough teams that took it to us, but all those games the starters didn’t play the whole time and we rotated in and out a lot more than I think we normally would.
  2. Horrible week for the MAC. Firmly believe we controlled our own destiny, but any playoff chances should be gone with NIU and Toledo losing.
  3. Not impressed with our pass defense tonight. Players been running wide open all game
  4. Who the hell is Finley throwing to these past few drives?
  5. It is not. I havent noticed Granger on the field at all tonight.
  6. That OSU game having a lasting effect on Finley.
  7. Damn Norton was open!
  8. We waste so many timeouts lol
  9. Still a lot of OL rotating in and out. We really need to get the best combination figured out and stick with it.
  10. Rodrick Hunter getting some playing time..must be thin at safety this game.
  11. Thats what happens when you try and throw it down field unfortunately.
  12. this is gonna be ugly
  13. We aren’t tackling well
  14. Christ. Can’t even get punt team right.
  15. Florida St/Cal is on ESPNU right now, and duke/middle Tennessee st was originally supposed to be on ESNPU. Hope this doesn’t throw off the coverage
  16. Exactly what I meant. Middle of the pack teams this season seem to be fairing well against other G5 opponents. Ps- I don’t know if USA is any good or not, but currently beating App State @ App State 41-7.
  17. Stein right above Igor, was in 2013. Based on early indications this season, betting we get one this year.
  18. Another ~$ 2 million loss of revenue is not good. That's only counting tuition, not room and board and other fees. PS Akron lets just about anyone in as far as I know.
  19. The top getting better and the bottom staying the same sounds like an improvement to me. Even aside from NIU and Toledo, BG came this close to knocking off Penn State. The “average programs” aalso seem to generally be beating the other G5s (Ohio/South Alabama and EMU/Jax State) come to mind immediately.
  20. Yep. Definitely feel like they give more leeway to the bigger programs in terms of celebrating.
  21. Game day experience thoughts: Starting with purchasing tickets - pretty sure I was charged a service fee for buying tickets at the window. Ticket said $15 and paid $19. That was a first. Additionally only one ticket line open aside from will call, which is another miss. Long and slow line before the game. Surely we can afford to pay a student a min wage to alleviate this. Think we had an external vendor in the concourse near midfield. Good idea that we should explore more, especially in the food stands they don’t open. Save on costs (and make money by charging the vendor) and give the fans more options. New scoreboard and ribbon board looked and worked great! Thought the volume of music was just fine. I didn’t miss the cannon, however. To the game: Could not have had a worse start. While completely inexcusable, I was never that worried because it was us giving Colgate the opportunity. The second quarter and latter part of the first quarter shows what the team can be, and that’s fun to watch! Great game by D Lewis. No real complaints on defense after we spotted them the easy 17 and settled in. Just would’ve thought we would have more of a pass rush. Starting to feel we have little to no improvement in our OL from last season. Whether a run or pass, seemed like Colgate players were generally in the backfield near immediately. Whenever they did protect, Finely/passing game looked pretty good. Also shout out to Norton. He does look like the real deal. Players I noted on sideline not dressed: Adams, David, Proby, Cooper, Brockington, Madden, Fox, Lyons, Walker
  22. Toledo had the mist impressive G5 win yesterday. 2 straight weeks for the MAC. Dare to say the conference feels improved and is in the drivers seat for the G5 playoff spot if NIU can get by NC State in week 5, who is definitely beatable.
  23. I don't find the volume of the music to be any different than any other FBS or NFL game I've been to. Might just feel a little out of place considering how sparse/dead our crowd usually is.
