  1. that should be an and 1 for Ivey
  2. Hey @Jrship35 where are you??! I haven't seen you post since the site change.
  3. Kind of hard per that article. Hope Kato makes the decision that's best for him.
  4. I agree. It will be interesting to see how he does next season without Davis and Braverman, though. Related to Dr. Z's post...why does it feel like Rush has been at CMU forever??
  5. Hopefully another walk-on.
  6. Looks like he has narrowed it down to us and Toledo, and will make a decision tomorrow.
  7. I think I want some of the stuff you're smoking. This team isn't getting an at-large.
  8. Maybe I misunderstood and he said they are "like greyshirts". I don't know, I think my point still stands though regardless of the technicality.
  9. I get your point, I'll preface by saying I'm not completely sure on the matter, but I believe there are only a maximum number of scholarships schools can give out per year, around mid twenties. If we have 15 commits now made up of transfers and HS kids, have 5 greyshirts from the year before, that means we could only sign 5 more if the max is 25. If we lost 30 last year, we can't necessarily just give out 30 this year
  10. Board Issue: I have tried multiple posts in different thread where I have tried to post a link from twitter or ZN.o and it automatically "embeds" itself. When I go to submit the post, it takes me to a "forbidden" page and I lost everything I typed. Anyways, when looking at the size of the recruiting class, we need to keep in mind that it seems Bowden has greyshirted approximately 5 or so in every class. So a 2015 greyshirt will not count be on scholarship until 2016, which will take one scholarship away from the true 2016 recruiting class. From my general following of recruiting, it doesn't seem like this is too common of a practice. So at one point, Bowden should theoretically have a small class to "catch up" instead of greyshirting recruits every year. A recruit really would only want to greyshirt if they have nowhere else to go. Someone who immediately comes to mind that will be eligible this year is Ray Ray Smith. I don't recall who all greyshirted, but you can find the rest of the 2015 recruiting class list made by Zach here,
  11. Thanks for joining and hopefully you continue to contribute. Marcus is an absolute beast and I agree with just about everything you've said. As good of a talent as he is, I do feel like he had some character issues (on the field) for the 1st half of the season, but thought he eliminated those as the season went on. Hopefully it stays that way, because he is expected to be the leader of the D next season. Looking forward to big things from him in 2015. The Fackrell kid from USU was the lone higher graded pass rusher for G5 teams and he will almost certainly go in the 2nd round, potentially late 1st round.
  12. Not the greatest speed, but looks looks like he has good hands and can high-point the ball as well. I like this recruit as well.
  13. Picked up a commitment from Tyler Gilchrist out of Hoban. He had offers from other MAC schools. Really like this kid's tape! I've tried to post his tweet 3 times now so I give up. http://www.hudl.com/athlete/1838295/highlights/305689386/v3
  14. blah. good for him.
  15. Congrats to Arkansas for getting back to .500
  16. does that necessarily mean the visit is canceled though?
  17. Great game tonight, and according the announcers, great week. Plenty of love all over twitter and expect his stock to continue to rise with workouts coming up. He was easily the most mentioned guy during the game tonight.
  18. I may be misinterpreting your meaning, but it seems assets aren't included in the valuation.
  19. I'm having trouble finding the exact code (maybe somebody else can provide), but from the quote and article below, it appears general communication is fine. There becomes an issue when somebody is actively trying to recruit somebody to come to their school, something I haven't seen from any fans or that account. “As soon as you contact a recruit and try to persuade them to come to your school, you automatically become a booster because you are helping a recruit come to a specific institution,” [Oklahoma State assistant athletic director of compliance Ben] Dyson said. “Boosters aren’t allowed to recruit prospective student-athletes.” http://www.sportsgrid.com/ncaa-football/tweeting-recruits-ncaa-violation/
  20. I am certainly not the account nor do I spend my time tweeting at recruits, but can we please stop acting like choir boys?? I don't see the account doing anything wrong like soliciting recruits to come to the school, and I like the information they provide. The rule is so outdated, hence the reason it isn't enforced. Show me anywhere where a program has gotten in trouble by some random fans mentioning recruits in a tweet such as congratulating them for committing, etc. By this choir boy logic, none of the media should be able to talk to the recruit right? Nobody from Hustlebelt, either. They are all fans of schools. What about the guys on Scout? They are fans too. Nobody should ever talk to any recruit ever, that way we would have no information! The rule is there as a general guideline for the NCAA to cover themselves if they ever need to
  21. Doesn't mean anyone follows it or it is enforced.
  22. Kato and Jahcour would be a nice package together! I think the fact that they are making the official visit here on the last weekend before signing day is a good thing. Weh Weh is starting to accumulate offers from other G5 teams. Looks like we are his only visit between now and signing day.
  23. Mr. Shipman is dropping knowledge BOMBS today.
  24. This is the 3rd season for that rule, IIRC.
  25. Where do you see this?
