  1. Some of our managers have been there for close to 4+ years (regardless of what gozips.com says). I played basketball with some of them in the rec when I was in school. They were involved with the team then.
  2. He had an impressive 10 tackles last season.
  3. Noah I think has been the biggest disappointment to me so far this season. Whether it's his injury or just a sophomore slump, he looks nowhere near the level or shows the potential that he did last season.
  4. Same ol zips.
  5. I like it. Getting the #MACtion weeknight nationally televised games is a bi-product of having a successful season. Getting quality opponents in Toledo and BG with decent MAC fan bases should help offset any horrible attendance we would have otherwise had if it were Buffalo and UMASS instead, even on a Saturday. I'll do my best to make both of them. I'm glad the Kent game is moved back to where it should be. That will definitely help with attendance and a much better atmosphere when we have them at home.
  6. As Lee Corso would say...Not so fast my friend! http://www.azfamily.com/clip/11946164/univ-of-phoenix-troubles
  7. When is the last time non-profit. school has acquired another school? Its freaking ITT Tech. What's next, DeVry?
  8. too many turnovers it seems.
  9. Big Dog is hungry!
  10. and why is Kwan starting over Big Dog? Nobody to board. Appreciate the effort, but he just can't stop a true 5.
  11. Why in the hell would we rather play with 4 men than call a timeout? Junk LBJ shoes.
  12. pi-ss on Kent State (did I do it right?)
  13. Right, take Balsy as Exhibit A. One of the biggest younger Akron fans (gotta be to be on this board), and he didn't know who Joyce and Romeo were. Imagine the regular student who is a casual "fan"?
  14. I believe he was talking about making the students go a full season to earn it (not just 3 games) and not giving away more free tuition.
  15. No clue if I'm supposed to know who Dillon is or not, but according to the article, Bias the one on Akron's radar. He looks really small, I have to assume walk-on, right?
  16. I personally think Lynch has the highest upside, however being a Browns fan, I want Goff. He is more of a sure thing in my opinion, and I still feel his ceiling is pretty high and has a better chance of reaching than Lynch. I am not a believer in the Wentz hype at all. I watched the FCS national semifinal, the FCS final, and the Senior Bowl and I'm just not all that impressed with him. He didn't really do anything in the Senior Bowl. I didn't think he played well in the FCS Championship either. Many balls under thrown, but bailed out by his receivers and a few disappointing INTs. Put up a lot of points due to the defense putting the offense in great position. A sleeper type I do like is Dak Prescott.
  17. The idea originates from football. I believe it was done during the 2014 season.
  18. Not to mention we have 3 other capable "primary" scorers coming back next year anyways in Antino, Noah, and Josh. Now if we are talking primary POST scorers, well, Big Dog is already that this year so I wouldn't expect a huge change. I think 15-16 a game is a reasonable estimate if he can continue this level of play into next season. He has made his huge leap this season. I find it hard to believe he would have huge leaps in back to back seasons.
  19. Isaiah is playing phenomenal this season and is only averaging 13. Assuming he will make some gigantic leap to 20 ppg is quite a stretch.
  20. If that's seriously his attitude, this program has peaked under him.
  21. I share your stance on scheduling, but we did play the current #1 team in the country this season...That's progress at least.
  22. Smith had himself a pretty nice NFL career. Calling him one of the best NFL defensive players in 20 years is quite a stretch. Dwight's accolades don't come close to sniffing James'.
  23. There aren't that many teams that could win despite that rebounding deficit.
  24. Thats actually pretty funny. I agree. It baffles me how shitty our broadcast equipment its.
  25. Shazier is a beast at LB. While im sure his injuries are frustrating, I'm not sure it would work out well for Brown or Shazier to move to safety. I think the two are good comparisons actually. They both are a bit small for their position but play fast and hard and aren't afraid to hit.
