  1. Need to start winning the early downs. These 3rd and longs arent going to cut it.
  2. Christ. Couldnt have had a worse start.
  3. delete
  4. Looks like a windy day. Hopefully it plays to our advantage. I got BG by 14. Prove me wrong. Lets go Zips!
  5. Currently up 37-7 over Buffalo. Hard to get a good read on these teams so far, but I'm leaning towards this result being an accurate one.
  6. As I said above, not shocked at all. The Broncos are a top 2-3 team in the MAC. Maybe even the best.
  7. Looks good. Should definitely give it more of an arena feel, rather than a gymnasium.
  8. That is a nice preview. He is wrong in his assessment of the DL, though. Se'von Pittman and Marcus weren't so called "busts" like he is referring to. They have real talent, and Coe has been nice as well. I hope Marcus lights Johnson up a few times.
  9. I'm a big fan of Fleck, Campbell, and Babers. Some nice coaches in the MAC.
  10. No..he forgot to mention us joining the ACC
  11. Just looking ahead a little bit, along with us, BG still has WMU, Ohio, Toledo, and even Ball St (who isnt a complete slouch). I bet OU goes down to WMU this weekend. In addition to them, still have UB, BG, Ball St, and NIU to go. A lot of football left to be played. And knowing the MAC, surely some dust will kicked up.
  12. Don't see how Buffalo or Can't should be above us. I think CMU has a legitimate case though. I believe that team from last season only lost one player?
  13. who and who?
  14. Moving your biggest playmaker, especially when talent on offense is extremely limited, to the other side of the ball doesn't make a lot of sense to me.
  15. Trying not to sound biased, but it could be argued that we will be the toughest defense they've faced all year by talent. We've probably had as hard of a schedule as most in CFB to this point.
  16. Always interesting going back and reading old threads.
  17. I like Pohl, but if somebody who led us to back-to-back 5-7 seasons is "the answer", I would rather take a gamble on somebody else. (Not that I agreed with that post in anyway). I also don't think anyone is overrating him.
  18. BG has a legitimate 3 headed monster on offense in Johnson, Lewis, and Greene. Not to mention the back up RB and other receivers are pretty decent as well. Their defense seems to be down compared to years past, so I think the only way to beat these guys is to get into a shoutout. Last week was encouraging, but I'm not sold on our offense being that good until I see if for a few games consistently. Keener said something in the EMU thread about us not really dominating them, but taking advantage of opportunities. Well, dominating is always nice, but in my opinion, taking advantage of opportunities is the sign of a good team. Thats something I haven't seen in my now 6 years following the Zips. I think the best bet is gong to be to double Lewis. Put Scott or Givens on him and have Guiser help over top. Leave it up to our stout front 7 to slow down the run game/create enough havoc on Johnson to hopefully slow him down enough. This is going to be a tough one. I give us about a 10% chance of winning, but my opinion has more to do with BG than us. I think they are that good.
  19. This. He was horrible. I can't stand Reghi either, but at least he can talk. I kind of like Cherry.
  20. Has the program ever scored 40 points in a half vs a FBS opponent before today?
  21. Are there multiple #5s or did I just see Chapman on special teams?
  22. Just give them 7 points Pittman. Smh
  23. #2 was even better!
  24. Now those are the types of catches I like seeing our WRs make!
  25. Conor "Condor" Hundley breaking out the neck roll. Davis continuing to be a pleasant surprise. 7-0 Zips! (That field is the worst)
