  1. so are we going to change the offense again when he gets here?
  2. Is there anything to back this up?
  3. I enjoyed watching Pressley. Good luck to him.
  4. ....UT has pretty damn good talent. They weren't ranked top 10 preseason for nothing.
  5. Reports that Gregg Marshall turned down Bama. Also reports that Shaka is taking the TX job.
  6. In my first response I said "Good for the MAC" regarding the decision. My point was that is isn't some monumental decision because there are a lot of organizations/people doing it, and there was a poster trying to make a case for them being "leaders." I appreciate your concern though.
  7. The B1G mentioned nearly a week ago, but I havent seen anything official. Regardless, I was talking about a much wider scope than NCAA conferences.
  8. Interesting...
  9. Good for the MAC, but they aren't setting any trend here, more like following it.
  10. Congrats. Pulling himself up has nothing to do with the rule that you are not allowed to hang on the rim unless its clearly to prevent injury. Him swinging/pulling himself up is what made them think it was taunting. If he didn't and just hung on the rim instead with nobody underneath, it still would have been a T. I'm having trouble seeing whats so hard to comprehend.
  11. Last post on the subject just to clarify. I meant there is nothing to interpret regarding whether he pulled himself up or not, because it doesn't matter. The rule is whether or not he is allowed to hang on the rim, which he clearly did. Whether he did it for showboating/couldn't control it/ was afraid of injury is obviously up for interpretation. From my own personal opinion, and the high school ref who had the credentials to be in the state championship game (no offense zippyman- I appreciate the input), it was a technical .
  12. Appreciate the insight. As for your opinion, time will tell.
  13. I don't see what zippyman was saying that is the opposite of me, besides maybe an opinion of it not being a T. Fact: You are not allowed hanging on the rim besides for very few exceptions (ie. to prevent injury). What was being debated was whether he pulled himself up or not, which is irrelevant. He swung his legs up so far that he kicked the basket support. I've never seen that happen in all of my years of playing/watching..and yes...even reffing basketball. Even Zeke's dunk, with all of 7ft and 240lbs of him, didn't generate enough momentum to kick the basket support. Nobody was under him or even around him. Why would the ref think it was to prevent injury?
  14. There was no judgement to me made by the ref. Whether he pulled himself up or not is besides the point. He hung on the rim, and you aren't allowed doing that in HS (with very few exceptions, none the refs would have thought of in real time without watching the video 50 times), atleast in Ohio.
  15. You're the exception (and my post wasn't targeting you). My point is that there are posters on here now saying the ref should have swallowed the whistle when they had an opposite view during the Can't game.
  16. I wonder if the "whistle-swallowing" crowd feels the same way about the missed travel call against Can't? Answer: Nope!
  17. Was an asst. at Tulsa. One would have to assume Drew and Hurley declined right?
  18. The names of ref's are something I honestly hardly ever pay attention to (really the only way I know any names is because of this forum), however I have seen some familiar names during the NCAA tourney. Another one from the above mentioned is Terry Wymer. Wichita St/ND, WVU/Maryland, and Albany/Oklahoma during the tourney.
  19. We get it. You think the football program is holding your boy Dambrot back and you don't like it.
  20. Agreed. My last post on it because I don't want to derail any farther, but the bolded part was your first mistake haha. Cleveland sports radio/media is the worst.
  21. Well in your defense (not that you're looking for it), you were kind of forced to stop being a fan in 1995. I couldn't imagine going 20 yrs without a rooting interest professional football (assuming you didn't pick up another team).
  22. Never understood how you can just be 'done' as a team you are supposedly a fan of. Maybe lose interest over time, but not just quit.
  23. Now St. John is a job I could see Hurley getting offered and taking.
  24. ummmm.......I thought this kid sounded very familiar. Good to hear we could poach him from Walsh. http://zipsnation.org/forums/topic/28033-i-wonder-if-this-guy-is-on-our-radar/?hl=jackson#entry191019
