I don't really care to debate the past. It's a polarizing topic and peopl's opinions of it arent going to change no matter how much it is debated. That's water under the bridge for everyone involved. LBJ is a Cav for the rest of his career and you can take that to the bank. He isn't holding Gilbert over the fire. If you noticed, there were no talks that had any substance that he might leave again. Lebron is signing the short contracts to benefit himself because of the cap increases this season (9 mil I think i read) and the upcoming CBA which is projected to increase the salary cap substantially due to a massive increase in TV rights. Lebron's max contract is based on a percentage of the cap. Holding Gilbert over the fire would be refusing to sign until TT got paid and paid BIG. Is Gilbert spending a ton of money to appease Lebron or to appease himself/the franchise/the fanbase? Nothing he has done so far would make me think its to appease Lebron. Shump deserved what he got. K Love deserved what he got. TT is to be determined. If he gets something around 4yr/80 as reported, then I will conced that move is for Lebron. (Lebron and TT both have Rich Paul as their agent). I think he's worth something in the 12-15 mil/year range. That might even be too generous. If there were anything to be surprised about, it would be what happened a year ago tomorrow. Not anything of recent. Just my opinion.

You're probably right that they don't exist. As I said above however, that 2k annual scholarship will make (i think) a lot of them exist that otherwise wouldn't. The U needs to make sure this is properly marketed so every student knows about it. Something like this can be a win all around. More university pride/differentiator among other universities/good for student resume/lower college cost.

What is the NEO community's perception of UA? (probably nothing we should worry about maintaining). PS- I think part of what entails the "leadership" part should be mandatory attendance to major home sporting events. I like the idea. I think it will work if given a chance. However, my bigger concern is student interest. Something tells me that 2k annual scholarship will help with that! If this were implemented a few years ago, I know I would be in.

I haven't thought of that until now. By not addressing it this year, I take it the staff sees Big Dog able to hold down the starting spot for a season. I hope they're right. Regardless, its an absolute need in the next recruiting class.

Scarborough is showing he isn't afraid to make drastic changes, and while I still take issue with a lot of what he says, I can respect him for doing something. When I watch TAMU football games, one of the first things I notice is the cadets.I think its a good idea to begin establishing a differentiating identity that people can actually see.
