Im actually from the Ohio valley, so yea. The metro area...Weirton, Steubenville, etc are still filled with power plants and steel mills.. Not clean at all. The city is nice, but this list used Metro area as an example..so the same should apply.

LA being ranked #17 and Pitt not even on there makes this list lose any credibility.

GT's article talks about it some. Obviously TB is still going to be watching over the offense and have some say, but it lets him pay attention to the rest of the team more as well. Like a head coach should do.

No doubt. I still believe there is still an outside chance of the MAC getting one of the two...because it seems nobody else wants them. However, I would only see them joining in football (ala UMASS)

0 conference re-alignment moves have been made with basketball being the biggest interest. Im not sure our basketball program would be wanted anyways. We have not beaten a ranked team since we have been D-1.

And I cannot believe people are actually wanting to defend the joke of a conference that is the Big East. They will cease to exist before long, and we would be stuck nowhere, or in a conference worse than the MAC. Sorry, but UCF, Houston, and Cinci arent anywhere close to making people saw "WOW", either. We are talking about two former MAC teams in that example, if you remember.

blah a bunch of fudged numbers. Doesnt surprise me though, being a "non" profit. We break exactly even..give me a break. Very surprised the U spends nearly 6 million in athletic scholarships a year. I wonder how much that breaks down per athlete.

Anyone have a link of Akron's basketball and football profits (losses)? I figure they should be obtainable since its a public University

well we are getting ~1 million dollars thanks to NIU. Hopefully the athletic department uses that to increase our small recruiting budget OR puts it away to give Bowden a nice extension when he turns the program around so we can keep him. Paying assistants well is key, too. Thats a major reason in why Beliema went to Arkansas.

There is more parity in CBB this year. Mid majors and non-traditional powers are stronger.

Something I noticed during the game..he doesnt really jump to rebound the ball. Kind of just sticks his arms up.
