  1. Game is on YoutubeTV now at least.
  2. are they delaying start in person at least? ESPN gamecast not showing the game has started, neither has fox sports app.
  3. F Nebraska and their weather delays. Had to do an emergency login on the FoxSports app because it appears BTN is showing the rest of the Nebraska game over the beginnging of ours
  4. I hope you're right. If the offense can get clicking and we stay relatively healthy as a team, this is a solid team. JoeMo is a well-regarded offensive minded coach, so you'd hope he figures out the right personnel and scheming to fit the right personnel out sooner rather than later.
  5. Solid schedule, maybe the best I can recall, though I always prefer to play a P5 team. Some good mid-major tests on here. No potential wins to make noise nationally IMO, but the team will be challenged and we'll be able to learn a lot about them in terms of expectations.
  6. I think DJ has been disappointing so far this season as well, but Joe seems to be pinning a lot of the offensive limitations on the OL.
  7. We rank 102/130 in penalty yards per game. Meaning only 28 teams have more yards per game given up for penalties than we do. https://www.ncaa.com/stats/football/fbs/current/team/698/p3
  8. I noticed both Davis and Williams were back. Unsure if they were 100%. Looked like Davis had his hand wrapped.
  9. Kind of a weird game where the score doesn't tell the whole story. Defense played well. Pretty incredible plays from Davis and Leary made it look a little worse than reality. If you're going to give a superior team a game, you can't shoot yourself in the foot. Muffed punt, dropped 3rd down pass while driving by Adams, illegal man downfield on a huge 4th down gain, and an unreliable kicker and last night is what you'll get. Still don't understand this offense at all. DJ played fine (in terms of accuracy and decision making) from what I could see, but he still looks timid/timing off. All those beatings the past few years probably had a last affect on psyche. We have to find a way to open up the offense more. We have zero vertical passing attack. Think the offense will open up once we can establish that. I just don't know if the issue is QB not seeing guys, coaching staff limiting play-calling due to personnel limitations, OL not being able to protect long enough, our the WRs just not getting open. Probably a combination of all of the above. Has Bullock even played the last 2 games? Odd to use him like we did against Temple then seemingly go away from it. What shouldn't get lost in all the frustration, (and not to excuse our issues) is that Kentucky did exactly what they were supposed to do to us. Some of that was self-inflicted which can be fixed. We have a lot of issues offense, but I think still plenty of options and some more time to get those figured out, and we have the head coach to do it. Its not like last night was Temple kicking the pee out of us. The season is only ever about conference play, just get the crap fixed by then. Would like to see us give Indiana a game next week. They aren't good. We can if the staff can find a way to spark the offense. The time to panic isn't when we're losing to superior opponents like we're supposed to. Conference play, at least for the foreseeable future is where we should be really judging the program.
  10. Am I right that we'd have him for 2 years of eligibility?
  11. I'm excited about Wilson. Definitely think he will move up some on the depth chart as the year goes on. Might just be taking him time to get up to speed with everything since he just joined the team in the summer. If i recall correctly, he got a few reps against Morgan State and one of them might have been a penalty on him. With that said, Adams and George are All-MAC receivers (Adams was 1st team and George was a snub last year). Gathings is solid and while Golden and Walker are intriguing as well, I don't believe they play the same position as Wilson. The statement that we don't have playmakers at the position just isn't correct.
  12. Would love to go this game, but have a wedding this weekend. #BanFallWeddings
  13. You're right. DJ seems to play his best against the best competition. Auburn, Mich St, and Tennessee were good games from him.
  14. I’m not as concerned about winning since it’s a long shot as much as I am figuring out our issues for conference play, but Kentucky only beat Eastern Kentucky by 11 last week and we were 20-something point dogs when we beat Northwestern. CFB is weird (like NIU beating BC then losing to Southern Illinois). That’s what makes it great!
  15. Well said. Would much rather be dissatisfied after a win rather than a loss. Defense is much improved and biggest issue on offense is QB. Undercuffler and Irons issues are different. Irons getting back to form would be good enough to have a solid season, but if not we do have a handful of options (at least on paper). Whether they are ready to step up and run the offense is another story.
  16. Yeah its an overreaction. Even though the QB position is a disappointment right now and Moorhead deserves blame for that, have to play the long term game and we have a handful of prospects now and in the future that can get it fixed.
  17. Craziest win I've seen in my life for the Zips. Feels good to get one in the win column, but we're lucky as hell to have it. MUST FIGURE OUT QB POSITION if there's any hope at a bowl game. That is the weakness on this team right now.
  18. Cannot believe we are losing to this team. Joe Moorhead is supposed to be a QB/offensive guru. Figure it the hell out.
  19. Why do we not go with Bullock in short yardage situation when Undercuffler is in there?
  20. Defense is gassed, understandably.
