  1. I mean, context is important. We lost our best shot at winning games by losing our top option at the most important position in football. The real failure this season is the staff's apparent failure to have even a playable back up. We currently have 5 playable scholarship QBs and the 2 the staff have played so far have been horrid. Very interested to see what the staff does with the position next season. A high profile transfer (for MAC standards) is a must, and we should probably send a few packing if they can't get on the field considering what those above them on the depth chart have done. Overhaul is needed.
  2. Miami with their backup QB is kicking Ohio’s ass.
  3. I agree with your line of thinking, but I believe Bubba was named to some preseason all-MAC teams and we know how that turned out I personally don't care about scrimmage scores one bit. Who knows plays and who doesn't, and who knows if the staff is trying to win or trying out new things/different rotations.
  4. Your post reads as you questioning whether Ali is eligible and also that he isn’t. Do you know something?
  5. What do they call doing the same thing over again and expecting different results?
  6. Any idea who we are starting at QB? I’d think it has to be Undercuffler at this point.
  7. Serious question, is there a NIL collective us peasant Zips fans can donate to?
  8. And it took Miami a few years to get out of the dumpster. Martin was awfully close to getting fired.
  9. Starts and stops with Joe and Fessler IMO. OL could be better which makes running game and QB job tougher, but that’s an incredibly tough position group to fix overnight. Our two higher profile transfers (Blanchard and Kindred) are injured, Landers failed out, but I think we are building that room solid for the future, plus already have a good transfer coming in next season. If Jankowski has no hope of ever playing (which we all seem to know), we shouldn’t be wasting a scholly on him at the most important position in football. Undercuffler is what he is. Bullock is in his 3rd year of D1 FBS football and still has a long way to go. Jennings and Wasel each were pretty solid recruits, but apparently are at least 4th and 5th on the depth chart with no shot at playing . If the entire season was hinged on an injury prone DJ Irons (who I don’t even blame considering the amount of run usage a prototypical Joe Mo offense has) coming off of shoulder surgery on his throwing shoulder, no other way to put it than a failure by our offensive staff. I said in another post I don’t think an experienced starter candidate was coming here to potentially sit on the bench, but I expected more out of the players the staff has brought in at the position and it just doesn’t seem to be there.
  10. Should’ve took the first timeout after first down
  11. I’d be using timeouts now
  12. From what service?
  13. We just know this one is going to end on and Undercuffler interception right? (Please prove me wrong)
  14. Put the 2nd stringer back in. Might throw some picks, but we're getting that now.
  15. run the god damn ball !!!
  16. You HAVE to bench him.
  17. Of course they hit a f'ing 58 yard field goal.
  18. Weak PI call
  19. Zac Gibson would thrive in this offense IMO. But Joe Mo couldnt keep him here and instead he's on the bench rotting at GT.
  20. that is NOT targeting.
  21. CMU would rather give us a 3rd and long deep in our own territory than a 4th and medium where we'd clearly punt. Shows how much they respect this offense.
  22. Defense came to play today!
  23. Looks like the coaches knew who the best fit at QB was.
  24. mentioned what?
  25. We returned a all MAC 3rd team performer who got that in his first year in Joe's system. We brought in a young P5 transfer as well. Maybe the staff should have known more about how it would have affected DJ's play (if even possible) or hedged against DJI's injury (both last year and the potential of it this year), but aside from that I don't see what the issue was. A good, experienced QB wouldn't come here to sit on the bench in their limited time of remaining eligibility.
