It's a great point, but I take issue with the part of "and you don't know you have better potential destinations lined up". Tampering shouldn't be happening. I don't mind the transfer or NIL rules, but there has to be SOME sort of cracking down on the current landscape. Everyone knowing Sam Hartman was going to ND the second he entered the portal last year is wrong.

Yep (knock on wood). Three most impactful would be Nate Williams, Tyson Durant, and Jaharon Griffin. Williams and Durant were starters, but should be replaceable by guys on the roster already or transfer portal. Griffin has some potential, but would've been buried on the depth chart still next year. All others fit the mold of walk on, or player with multiple years of college experience who have showed nothing to date.

Student body still has 3 if i'm not mistaken, and those 2 courts weren't highly used when I was in school, can't imagine that got any better with about half the student population.

I also say he's way above our pay scale.

at minimum 3, up to 4 new QBs coming with this, with high likelihood of of only one of them being a HS commit. Sure hope the staff can find or develop a suitable option for next season with the 2 we currently have in the room + 2-3 transfers.

I noticed on the last zips weekly show mentioned only 12 HS commits when we had tracked 13. Wondered at this time if it was a slip, but the difference might have been Smith.

Looks like he was buried on the depth chart, regardless.. only 2 years into his career so still plenty of time to live up to recruiting ranking. Do you bring Bailey up just due to the natural connection or is there more to it you’re aware of? regardless, let’s get him!

I think Jaharon can have a nice career, but the reality is he’d be our 4th LB next year in a defense that typically only has 2 on the field, so wouldn’t be in line to start until he’s a senior. I can understand wanting to go somewhere to play. My guess is it’ll be FCS as he didn’t have much attention out of HS and doesn’t have a ton of film from Akron. Good luck to him.

and I'd personally expect to bring in as many that go out. We have 1 HS commit.....expecting 2 transfers in with the current picture. Unsure how Jankowski seems to stick around lol

It works out perfect this year, but most commonly the MAC East in football is what the MAC West is in basketball. A 11-1 Toledo trying to get into the playoff and playing a 10-2 NIU is much preferred over the potential for playing a 7-5 MAC East champ. My only compliant would be us not being in the same pod as Ohio, as I'd like to play them along with Kent every year.

Good for the conference especially with the playoff expanding to include the highest ranked G5 conference champion. A better conference championship opponent could be the tipping point to get in.

Not a huge fan of our defensive rotations this year. Just seems...slow. Nobody really stepping up. and PG getting their ankles broken..not trending well so far. Also this Jackie Johnson tearing us up is a former Duquesne player.

If he only needs 8 credits to graduate and isn’t set to graduate until the spring, the U most not be offering a class he needs this semester. without knowing full details in either situation, sure seems like BS that Aziz would get cleared but not Ali. Who did he have any sort of relationship with at Cinci!?
