  1. Many thanks to UA! They definitely got this one right. Perfect!
  2. No. It will not be a cakewalk. I hope you are right and I am wrong. Go Zips!
  3. DEFENDING CHAMPION THREE F*****G YEARS RUNNING! Stanford play for the draw, hoping to go to PKs, thereby choking the very life out of NCAA Soccer. Lest you forget, Jeremy Gunn's previous coaching job was at Charlotte in 2011. Remember that? Zips really owe this guy - big time. https://www.collegesoccernews.com/i...lite-eight-contests-the-road-to-santa-barbara "Redshirt freshman forward Zach Ryan (9g, 3a), senior forward Amir Bashti (7g, 6a) and junior back Tanner Beason (7g, 5a), the Pac-12 Player of the Year, power a very good but not necessarily vintage Stanford attack that has produced a total of thirty-one goals. This team does not have a Jordan Morris or a duo up-top like Foster Langsdorf and Corey Baird. Whether or not that makes any difference remains to be seen. The Stanford defense anchored in goal by Andrew Thomas and backs Beason, Adam Mosharrafa, Ryan Ludwick, and Andrew Aprahamian has allowed a total of only eleven goals while posting twelve shutouts." Wake Forest Demon Deacon fan quzybuk: "Please destroy these anti-fun Mourinho wannabes. For America." If you don't know the José Mourinho reference, you better axe somebody! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/José_Mourinho
  4. Right. PKs are what Stanford do. A whole lot.
  5. Who is going to this alleged watch party at the JAR? I cannot afford trips to both Palo Alto and Santa Barbara the next week.

  7. Really?!?! It seems less definitive to me.
  8. Accurate observation concisely articulated! Bravo! I prefer Milanese starting LB and Strachan starting CB.
  9. Carlo Ritaccio is growing up (as a player) right before our very eyes. Enjoy him while we can, Zips fans! Much ⚽️❤️ #3‼️
  10. Well, you know I am in for either JAR or InfoCision, or really any gathering anywhere.
  11. The guy who scored was offside when the ball was played to him.
  12. I will not be in attendance, but I will definitely be watching. And I assure you that you will not be alone in attending. Find the other Zips; sit together; and be loud!
  13. I wholeheartedly endorse the NCAA adopting the FIFA rule. No Re-entry.
  14. Truly! Jared Embick has never been MAC Coach Of The Year. Wow. That is quite disrespectful, everything considered. Excellent point!
  15. "As a Wake fan, I'd much rather play (and lose, if it comes to that) to an Akron that actually attempts to play technically than to get run over by an overly physical direct team [Stanford Cardinal]. I don't think there are two programs that have "technical soccer" more ingrained in their DNA than Wake and Akron. Suffice to say, I'm excited as well. Should be a great game." -quzybuk (WF fan)
  16. https://wakeforestsports.com/news/2018/11/18/mens-soccer-no-1-wake-forest-tops-colgate-in-ncaa-second-round.aspx Coach Bobby Muuss: "Akron has been to two of the last three College Cups. It's going to be a great college soccer match," Muuss added. "For a college soccer fan and for a soccer purist, these are two teams that like to play. We played them my first season and it was one of the best games I've been involved in since I've been here."
  17. On the first score 0:23, it appears that Egbo is fouled in the Box, but advantage is called.
  18. Bear in mind that Kentucky beat Indiana 3-0 in Lexington on October 3rd.
  19. I say it every year: Do away with the first round bye. Either increase the field to 64 (which seems quite a lot out of 204 programs), or reduce the field back to 32. Everyone plays round 1. In no other sport is gaining a seeding so impactful.
  20. Kentucky Wildcats are the sh/te! JJ Williams is the real deal. See him if you can.
  21. Abdi Mohammed had a nightmarish outing when Syracuse visited earlier these season. I love redemption stories. Colin Biros is turning into yet another Akron passing machine, joining a long list of too many to mention. The most recent on that list is Adam Najem. That seems a fair comparison for now. Morgan Hackworth possesses superb tactical awareness, almost as if he were the son of a coach. No, wait.... Personally, I really prefer the back line of Milanese, Strachan, Ritaccio, Mohammed. Coach Embick is pulling all the right levers.
  22. Those will surface eventually, in one medium or another.
