  1. I will be there.... to the surprise of no one.
  2. Your Scotty Caldwell inks his (I think) third contract with New England Revolution. And if you don’t know about Scotty Caldwell, you better axe somebody. Right now.
  3. 3 Zips on pitch for USMNT at 84th minute.
  4. I agree that WT was best Yank . But overall this squad need to be more offensive.
  5. Was it ever cold! 38* (and falling) with a high wind is not comfortable viewing. And I very rarely complain about the weather. After taking it on the chin from two professional squads, Zips were ready to beat on somebody. Youth academy Sigma FC was once again ready to oblige. Zips came out aligned in a 4-3-3. Up top were (left to right) Diogo Pacheco, Will Jackson, David Egbo. That's right: The freshman played Centre Forward. Folks should really come out to see this kid on Saturday April 6th @ 1:00. WilJax is the real deal! He was involved in numerous scores, finishing, assisting etc. I lost count, but all three Forwards were stuffing the stat sheet against an over-matched, younger squad. Did we really score seven goals? Or were one or two of those called back for off-sides? Scoreboard was off. Zips dominated. I cannot see Carlo Ritaccio NOT being 2019 Team Captain. May as well call him captain right now. There is absolutely no doubt of who is in charge of this team on the pitch. I challenge anyone to see this differently. Sit down in front, close to the action. Ritaccio's incessant tactical direction is clearly audible. And his teammates do what he says. He's a natural leader.
  6. Good news! This is very well deserved!
  7. PIT 1-0 AKR More experienced players are more accustomed to finishing. Zips actually had greater number of chances; they should have scored at least one. Biggest takeaway: The raw athleticism of Will Jackson. The freshman will contribute this year. Sam Tojaga and Carlo Ritaccio played well, each in their own way.
  8. “See you in Pittsburgh.” ”Not if I see you first.”
  9. Much folklore has already built up around Will Jackson.
  10. @ZarekValentin; Once you hang up your boots, come back to us. We will find something for you to do.
  11. Get well soon, Niko! ZipsNation is pulling for you! #OAZ;AAZ!
  12. I would have placed JLew at the top of that list. Talk about rising stock!
  13. Three years ago, Jonathan Lewis was criticized by many (me) for lack of a reliable left foot. Well, youngsters can improve. That left footed cross on the ground was world class! Well done, JLew!
  14. Still looks great!
  15. So there! Highmark is beautiful in the late Winter. Nice stadium.
  16. Not sure where else to put this. https://www.siuecougars.com/sports/m-soccer/2018-19/releases/20190117ofzcep
  17. Best Of Luck, Fez! #OAZ;AAZ!
  18. Ah, Micaletto. ZipsNation only had you one season. Too bad you did not come to us sooner. Best of luck! #OAZ;AAZ!
  19. I love Spring roadies!
  20. Diogo Pacheco! ZipsNation are with you. You’ll Never Walk Alone!
  21. Good point. I keep forgetting that Wil is still in contract. Surely both Crew and Celtic will seek Trapp’s consent on this deal, even if neither is legally obligated to do so.
  22. The money has to be right for Wil Trapp to make that jump. Not just any deal; it must be a really good one. He would surely flourish under Caleb Porter. No doubt about that. But Wil Trapp will not become all he can be by playing out his career in Columbus.
  23. Celtic is almost always involved in European competitions. Even in league competition, Trapp would get greater exposure to EPL teams, for his next jump. Playing for Hearts or Motherwell or Randers is not the same as playing for Celtic or Rangers. As attractive as the Trapp/Porter reunion would be, Wil must strongly consider an opportunity to join Celtic. He is ready. Nagbe may have missed his window. I reiterate: Every Soccer conversation (I have) is implicitly about United States lifting the World Cup. Period.
  24. Good question. Scottish “Premier” League is level with MLS, except for two teams, both from Glasgow. If you don’t know, you better axe somebody! https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Old_Firm
