My perspective changed dramatically when I had the opportunity to ref some HS rec league games. Try walking a mile in those sneakers; then come back and make your comments.

I think it would be great to see Kincade behind center with Chapman at WR. A few years ago Northwestern caused a lot of problems with 2 QB's on the field at the same time. Those QB's were very similar to ours. One was more traditional, and the other was very much a dual threat. Chapman could move behind center at times. That would keep the D on their toes. The bubble screen could even take on a new dimension.

I think with one or two fellow MAC schools coming with us our travel budget would still be reasonable. We could still maintain our rivalry with Can't. Iowa and Iowa State maintain a strong rivalry and play their game in September. After the MAC shunned us for years, why should we feel any loyalty?

As Big Dog improves his conditioning, I think his interior passing will add another punch we haven't seen much of yet.

I would much rather see Kinkade push Tra'von to WR where I think he would put up big yac #'s.

I remember the "friendly" 7 on 7 that we had against Mt. Union a few years ago. We got embarrassed against D3 talent. It takes time to turn things around, but I would think that by now, we would have some receivers who could get some separation and a QB who could consistently deliver the ball. I am hopeful for next year. I saw our transfer QB play a game for Roosevelt a couple years ago. I hope he will be forced to convert to WR where I think he will be a serious big play threat. Will someone step up and take over at QB? Kinkade enrolled early and got an extra spring practice. Maybe he will deliver next year.

It's hard to believe we are 3-1 with so little production from Jake & Reggie. When they heat up, we could really have a year to remember. I'm sure the youngsters will give us moments to pull our hair out, but that may only be brief minutes like we have already seen, with others stepping up to over come. Go Zips!

I love that southern trait! It makes me feel old when young men call me Sir, but it warms my heart at the same time. One point that I would put high on my list evaluating our program as a recruit or parent, is TB's use of inherited upper classmen. It should demonstrate TB's respect for his players. By not abandoning these guys and sacrificing a few seasons to rebuild, I would be convinced that I or my son would play for someone with my best interest as a priority.

Zips vs Miami (The U) Charleston Classic

What was the spread vs. Miss. State couple years ago? -
This tourney will tell us a lot of what to expect from the Treeless team. I'm no expert, but it looked like we have a lot of talented newcomers in the opening win. With the loss of the main cog, I think we will see added effort to take that place. We may see a different player emerge on either end of the court. That may evolve over the next month or more, but I think we will find over the next few games that all is NOT lost for this season. Keep the faith.

akronzips71, I'll stick my neck out there with you. Nothing good happens at 4AM; unless you are the kid getting ready to deliver to deliver my newspaper. There are so little facts that we know, it is impossible to know what happened. Apparently the AD got enough info from the police to suspend Tree. I just hope the AD used good judgment, and didn't just react impulsively. We may learn that everyone involved have decided to allow the incident to be handled internally. Keeping it in the "family" could be the best for everyone involved.

Yes. I've rebooted my computer on multiple days with the same non result. I'm using the WARF link right now listening to the women. I hope I can figure something out for ESPN by Tues. Yea. I guess I'm a masochist with the rest of you. I can't give up on football.

one thing that we have consistently demonstrated all season is our inability to run the ball. Play calling won't change that. Execution will. There is no way to remedy that from our seats. Are we complicating the blocking schemes? or is it a personnel problem? Being pass oriented, are we bunching the line for better pass protection and bunching the D to more easily cover all the gaps? Are we just too predictable? When we put 36 in the backfield, I keep waiting for a bootleg. Of these and many more factors, we can only hope that the staff will find the right solution. I have to believe that they are more frustrated than any of us.

Thanks! One would think the link on GoZips would get you to the flag ship station?

My computer skills are...well I just don't have any. I tried to watch football Tuesday. Watch ESPN would let me watch Ball State rerun, but nothing live. I would like to listen to the computer feed for BB tonight, but Tunein radio won't open. In the past, I just used the link on GoZips to get radio. That doesn't work for me. Any suggestions?

I played with Al. I remember how disappointed he was to have broken his leg that first year, but excited that the Cowboys wanted him back in camp the following year.

While most of us will tip a few to honor St. Patrick Monday, footballs will be flying. I'm looking forward to see how the red shirts fit into the mix. I won't be surprised to see a few crack the 2 deep. I could do without the daily recap if Coach B would feed us a more comprehensive weekly summary.

Tree Reaching 1000 points before the end of his 3rd year

After last night, we should have some fun. Tree reaches new heights! -
UB has a short memory. Can someone bring up the video for him?

One % of students attend games? I wonder what % have a clue about what is going on during the game? Win and they will come? Well, its fun to win. What can be done to make it fun to attend? Having the players interact with students on campus was a great idea! Its fun to watch someone you have a connection with. One idea won't touch everyone; so, lets keep that up and add many more to it. The "shoot for prizes" events get people engaged. Its fun. Could we have an intermural game woven into the event. This could get dorms and greeks involved. Before every time out, the cheerleaders could choose a "buddy" from the student section to help lead the cheer. Have a costume contest with contestants selected throughput the game. The winner could be chosen by cheer during the under 4 TO. That may drive the introverted student to hide with those 80 year olds, but the wildly animated extroverts are the ones we want in the student section. In my HS days, I'll bet close to 90% of the students went to BB games because there was a dance after the game. I know that many here would attend an evening game; then go home to bed. Many student recreational activities don't start until 9 or 10. Could a post game show that would appeal to the students be added?

MAC Indoor championship: gozips.com lists Hakeem Lawrence 3rd 6.78 & Bryce Cheek 7th 6.68. The finish order must be right, but consider that Can't hosted the meet.
-
I noticed that Bryce won the 60m at the Zip Invite! I wonder if he will compete in the outdoor season and fore go spring football? With the way spring practices are spaced out, he may be able to do both.
-
I'm with you Dave. I think if it was really serious, Nick would not have been at practice at all.

Has Kincade or any JC's enrolled for spring semester?
