Wright State comes into Tuesday Night's match with a winning record....5-4-2 their season history below 3-2 loss to Bowling Green 4-1 win over Lindenwood 3-1 win over St. Francis 4-2 loss at Loyola Chicago 4-1 loss at DePaul 2-0 win at home over IU-Indy 2-2 tie at home with Eastern Illinois 3-3 tie at Milwaukee 3-2 win at Butler.....that is an impressive result for the raiders...as we all know that the zips had to really battle at home against Butler 4-0 win at home against Purdue Fort Wayne 2-1 loss at home against Green Bay Despite their winning record......Wright State is currently 116 in RPI....as of Monday morning since I looked at the RPI.....to see where Wright State is....let me list Akron then I will show big east teams in the top 50 and zips opponents in the top 51 Akron is currently 40 in RPI Big east teams are well represented in the top 20 Georgetown is at 7 Providence is at 11 Seton Hall is at 14 Xavier checks in at 17 In terms of teams that the zips have already played Ohio State has an 8-0-2 record and they are #2 in RPI VCU checks in at #17 Western Michigan has not lost this year...they are 7-0-5 and they check in at #24 Notre Dame is #51

Embick calling out "the freshman left back substitute" in his Temple post game comments....was very unprofessional. It showed very poor judgement by Embick. Other players (some of them an early season co-captain) gave up goals in several games earlier in the year and they were not targeted by Embick in the post match comments. One former zip player (time frame before 2000) called Embick's Temple press conference comments "reprehensible." Being a freshman athlete is very hard. Trying to balance schoolwork and athletics. Being away from home for a significant amount of time. Criticism of a freshman athlete should be done in the privacy of a locker room. It should not be done publicly when the coach is frustrated by poor results. James Buebendorf was a highly ranked recruit and I very much want him to succeed at the University of Akron.

I have not listened to this yet drove up for the Friday night zips soccer and then went to Guardians game 1 playoffs then started the long drive home

I would be remiss if I also did not talk about Beto Ydrach. He is an absolute warrior. Georgetown really concentrated their attack ....using their left winger to attack the zips right back..... Beto was constantly in the right place.....and he battled all game against Georgetown's big, talented front line.

Mitch Budler was absolutely phenomenal He had 2 one handed left handed saves that were out of this world. the first one was world class The Georgetown coach will definitely be voting for Mitch for Big East GK of the year Mitch also had 2 other pretty solid saves The zips had excellent defensive positioning on a corner kick....as Emil was on back line and saved a goal with a header out Right before Akron goal, Beto had a kick save on the right side that saved a goal. Georgetown easily could have scored 3 to 4 goals......but Akron was excellent defensively This was Mitch Budler's audition to be first team All American and he passed with flying colors it is impossible to describe....how good that Mitch Budler was today

Solid first half for the zips. Beto Ydrach was fantastic in the first half Hot, humid day...I would like to see some subs in the midfield (Maximus Barboto, Nicolas Beier) to start 2nd half Georgetown is really concentrating their attack on their left side (against RB Josh Hardin) hopefully, coaches can make some adjustments at half time to help on left side

Wow....I knew absolutely nothing about St. Francis University I had no clue that they are the Red Flash...... St. Francis is a private Catholic university with 1,639 undergraduate students St. Francis is located in Loretto, PA . Loretto has a population of 1,302. Loretto's main claim to fame is that industrialist Charles Schwab was raised in Loretto. Charles Schwab built a 44 room mansion in Loretto. Loretto is 17 miles west of Altoona. 25 miles southwest of Johnstown Ok back to soccer...... The Red Flash have a YTD record of 2-3-1 St. Bonaventure 3-0 win #3 West Virginia 4-0 loss Wright State 3-1 loss Robert Morris 2-1 loss Bucknell 3-0 win Canisius 3-3 tie as of 6:30 pm on Sunday night, the Red Flash were #133 in RPI zips (as of 6:30) were #63 in RPI

With Ashton Kamdem out due to a red card, I hope that James Buebendorf gets a chance to play a lot of minutes against St Francis. I really like the speed and potential of James Buebendorf. It is always hard for freshman to make an impact on an experienced team but I really like what I have seen from James Buebendorf and Jack Roman.

Beto has been a great addition to the Zips. Maximum effort all of the time.
