  1. Can't hit anything, but we're still in the game. Good sign IMO.
  2. Harney is smooth.
  3. I have a feeling the Nitro Net Nuker will be on red alert hitting 6 of 8 threes and finishing with 18 to lead the Zips to a 77-69 victory.
  4. Sinisa signs with MLS Impact.already covered in another thread but glad this one wasn't left hanging http://zipsnation.org/forums//index.php?showtopic=24414Thanks
  5. His career may be too far along at this point, but Paul Winters and his Wayne St Warriors are on the cusp of a GLIAC championship and D-2 playoff berth. Whether he'd ever be considered here or not, I'll always root for the guy. He's done one helluva job up there. I know, I know.......I'm beating the drum once or twice too often
  6. It's kind of funny how one poster pulled LR8 into it
  7. I predict a Win over Cant for many reasons, but not to bore anyone, I will keep the list short. (all this on this on good authority)a. Our D will register 2 sacks minimum. b. Our O will score 2 touchdowns in 1st half.c. PN7 will be starting QB.d. and most importantly... a little bird told me so.GO ZIPS - GET READY TO BEATDOWN THE FLUSHES I knew I could count on you! :gun: How about this food for thought? The last two times Akron has won this game at home the Zips have also been an underdog.
  8. Here are the videos.
  9. I think we need to resolve the "should we count overtime points" issue right away. This cannot wait til the end of the season. It will just fester if left unsettled.I heard DiG is...........working overtime on that
  10. I like that strategy, especially with MSU having only 2 days of rest The Bulldogs are currently 7.5 point favorites.
  11. Today's updated depth chart lists all but Marcoux, but USA Today reports all of those injured versus Miami as questionable for this week. With Marcoux off of the depth chart, that probably means he won't be playing. I didn't have time to catch Zips Live or listen to the MAC coaches call this week (the latter is available on GoZips.com), so I don't know if Ianello has made any public statements about the availability of these guys or not.
  12. Enjoy the game, Dr Z I think I'm bringing a few from the Unibroue stable this week. Most of them are strong (7.5% ABV and above), so we'll see how that goes
  13. Not sure if I'll make a prediction this week, but the current line is K.E.N.T. favored by 5 1/2 points.
  14. I think the nickname should be "Turtle Wax" because he protects the paint Not bad!
  15. Valpo gave 'Zona a pretty good game last night, so they might be better than 163.
  16. Zips listed among "5 mid-majors to watch" in Fox Sports Ohio preview.
  17. You can never seem to resist the urge to take a shot at Nicely, can you? All to prove that "you were right all along" when your buddies gave you their inside scouting report coming out of high school. Well good for you, Skip. You were right. Now will you give it a rest?I hate being right when it's bad for the Zips.Could there be a more memorable, or more costly play from last years game? Avoiding that type of costly mistake would increase our chances of winning this year, which is the subject of this thread.I can't recall ever posting an "I told you so" statement on this board, if that's what you are implying. It is what it is. Regardless of who did it. And this has to be about the 100th post that criticized the dumb and costly nature of that play last year. Yes, I knew some things about him before he came here that suggested to me that he may not succeed. And I've shared it with fellow fans, both on and off of this board. Others who had knowledge of him have done the same. How many posts do you see on here every day that relate to talent evaluations, and criticism and praise for play on the field? Just about every post?Oh come on. Just because you didn't use those words, doesn't mean we can't all read between the lines. You've been screaming "I told you so" regarding PN7 for a long, long time. There's a big difference between fair evaluation and piling on.
  18. You can never seem to resist the urge to take a shot at Nicely, can you? All to prove that "you were right all along" when your buddies gave you their inside scouting report coming out of high school. Well good for you, Skip. You were right. Now will you give it a rest?
  19. 1. Roosevelt Nix will be salivating so much at the opportunity to rush LR8 his own drool will form into a puddle beneath him, causing he and his line-mates to spin their wheels instead.2. The enormous quantity of methane gas released after the Lot 9 chili cook off will make their mascot F.L.A.S.H. WISH he merely had the West Nile virus.3. QB Carlton Jackson…….I repeat, Carlton Jackson was able to lead the Zips to a victory over K.E.N.T.
  20. No problem. We were all 'blinded by the light ' last week. ol' Brokenheart doesn't seem so bad right now, does he Lee? Just messin' with ya LOL. I still think given what was going on JD needed to go. BUT,I assumed obviously incorrectly that Wistrcil would actually try to bring in a coach with some sort of track record for winning football games at some level. Hell,my 8th grade coach at least went 3-2 against Bolich. JD was a better representative for the program too. Oh well, maybe Louie Pro will tire of this and order a change.I actually wanted JD gone after the 2008 season. I felt at the time we needed a fresh face to maximize the potential advantage afforded by the new digs. Who knows if that would have turned out any better, but at least TW couldn't possibly have made the hasty hire at that point in time.
  21. No doubt concerning the Timbers, Whitecaps and Impact. The Cascadia Cup makes games between Vancouver, Portland an Seattle relevant regardless of records. And of course expect the Toronto/Montreal rivalry to be a great one.Has Orlando been granted an expansion franchise? If not, are the Cosmos still in the running for team #20?
  22. But I thought someone said hiring Tressel was a "pipe dream"
  23. Who would have thought fans like us would even entertain the thought of walking away? How could anyone sit through another season of Ole Miss' high, low or batted-down balls, Ianello's mathmatically-challenged deficit-cutting strategies, tumbleweeds in the tailgate lot, swiss cheese defensive line play...That's indicative of how hopeless the current situation appears. Here's (click on MAC) a little more cause for doom and gloom. If I renew, it will only be because I have gotten to know a lot of great people before and during these games, some of whom have no choice but to attend.
