  1. Thanks for the on-site report! Let's get this thing on! Go Zips!!
  2. Excellent! Then you should probably have some interesting commentary to add beyond your resolute disdain for iCoach. Plus, I assume this means you're in this for the long haul. Many of us (myself included) were not fans of this HC hire. The reality is, short of some off-field error in judgement, he's here for a couple more years. I'm curious to see what he can do with a full recruiting class. I've said in other threads that I think the players his staff personally landed in 2010 have shown promise for the most part. We'll see.
  3. South Fayette QB Christian Brumbaugh has been offered. I'll bet this means that a JUCO QB is unlikely in this class. The poster former known as UAkronKid had already reported that Zach Stoudt was likely headed to Mississippi. Rivals Profile
  4. Nice gutsy win, Zips! Now bring it on the Cards! Kofi needs to play smart on Sunday.

  6. Is that Steve's brother that made that prediction? Maybe it was this guy -->
  7. Back to predictions, I'll sure take THIS one!
  8. All right, i guess i just was impatient. I got my letter today Definitely a good move. I'm sold to renewing 2 tickets next year. You've gotta be kidding. He's not kidding .. he's a ZIPS FAN! And a good one. Not a mildly interested passer-by. A fan. Go Zips! Hey ZipRoo.....just curious since you're relatively new on Zipsnation. How long have you been following the Zips?
  9. ESPN interview with the Chivas duo. It's great to get exposure like this over and over! Go Zips!!
  10. With the Wolverines looking for redemption and on a 9 game winning streak since UA beat them 7-1, I think this will be a very close game. UM's offense seems to be clicking and even the goal they scored against us the 1st time (1st opponent goal at Lee Jackson in 2010) was an impressive blast. I think, in the end, the huge pitch will ultimately play into the Zips hands (feet?) and UA will prevail. UA 3 UM 2
  11. I got that letter when I got home last nite... it wasn't funny.. it was pathetic..... I haven't received one yet...did it call for you to renew your season tickets? Here is my "Dear John" letter
  12. Not just windy, but unpredictably windy. You can see by following the smoke from the fireworks that it just swirls around and around the stadium in odd patterns. You nailed it. In fact, that's really what I had in mind. The Buffalo game was a great example. It was really hard to understand why the UB punter was kicking it with such a low trajectory early in the game until it became obvious that he was kicking into a strong wind on those occasions. There wasn't much evidence of that type of wind based on flag movement in both end zones or the conditions in the stands. Brilliant! Hey thanks! Your next Zoloft is on me.
  13. Interesting article on JT and the amount of film study (tendencies) he used to hone his QB rushing skills. Maybe he could offer a free seminar to our DL in the off season?

  15. Christian Brumbaugh will play for a PA state championship and he is only 51 yards shy of setting the all-time WPIAL record for career passing yards, set by a familiar name who shredded past Zip defenses. If we can't land a stud JUCO QB, I hope we add this kid (another HSQB Kyle Pohl has already given a verbal) to the class of 2011. The only caution is his statement about not liking to throw in windy conditions. Maybe it's just me, but the Info seems to have more than its share of windy days. Edit: He's only in the state semis at this point.
  16. Yes, Temple got the shaft, and yes there is a new rule for this year. Wiki
  17. Not 100% sure if all editions are the same, but mine has a large picture of Meves (featured image on the page) making one of the PK saves along with the article on the front page of the sports section.
  18. 0-12 would be lower Strengths: 1) A high percentage of players from the 2010 class recruited solely by iCoach and staff contributed in their 1st year here (Bailey, Hall, Russell, Sconiers, Holmes, Miller, etc.). Other than Nico Caponi (who looks to have excellent potential at DE), I can't think of another of JD's original recruits who made much of a mark. 2) Wagner, Wagner, Wagner 3) Team didn't seem to be greatly affected by whether they played home or away. 4) Illegal procedures, silly decisions, etc. were minimized by the end of the season. 5) Rush defense was decent most of the year. 6) Team NEVER looked like they had given up. 7) PN7 threw some very nice deep balls towards the end of the year when he had a little more consistent pocket time. 8) Tailgating in Lot #9. Weaknesses: 1) Very little experience at the skill positions in 2011. 2) Need to show that they can execute better in "crunch" time. 3) Need better decisions from the QB position, especially when under pressure. 4) The pass defense needs to improve dramatically. This may be the highest priority IMHO. 5) Need Hazime or a few others to display similar ability to track down the QB as Shawn Lemon. This one goes hand in hand with #4. Even a little improvement in one area will impact the other. 6) Gilmer, Little, or someone else needs to step up at linebacker. Any chance Fobbs gets a RS for this year? 7) Team needs to jump all over someone early in the 2011 schedule to instill the type of confidence that was lacking most of this year. 8) A dependable PK must be found. 9) Need to develop a back-up plan at QB. 10) HC is still "green". Would like to see offense in particular tailored a little more for talent that is on the field (ex. PN7 seemed to run the no-huddle pretty well, but we saw very little of this until Miami and no more of it against U@.
  19. "In Full Voice" - when supporters of a club are singing/cheering in a well orchestrated manner that is clearly audible BTW, classic response Zipmeister
  20. Just showed Getsy to Hixon in 2005
  21. And to think the Zips were THAT close to eliminating the Sweaters. Wow. More evidence that the team really WAS improving at the end of the year?
  22. Not sure about the crowd, but is NIU choking once again? Edit: Maybe their D will save them. MAYBE NOT!!!!
  23. So, what's your reaction to the World Cup decision? I'm curious to hear Z.I.P.'s reaction also. As for mine, I can only think of two words: Contingency Plan
  24. Look in a mirror. The best solutions are usually the simplest
