  1. With Dysert out of action, 5Dimes has their line down to 7.5.
  2. Answering my own question. Dysert OUT 4-6 weeks. This could be big.
  3. Whoa check it out. The Line is falling!! Does someone have inside information on Dysert's availability?
  4. Excellent analysis, ZW! You covered the biggies but I have a few additional minor points. Quincy Diggs – I believe he’ll be an asset this year against MAC-caliber opposition, but it was a difficult match-up for him last night. I’m not sure I want to see him taking too many 3s, but his drive and slash game doesn’t present many opportunities against a team like Dayton. Brett McKnight – The “good” Brett might have been able to supply the inside scoring that was lacking for most of the game. But the “bad” Brett could also have disrupted the nice flow and ball distribution the Zips showed (for the most part). I might actually prefer the team as we saw it. THE TEAM CHEMISTRY issue should not be underestimated. All in all, it was frustrating to lose another close one. But it’s hard for me to imagine the Zips NOT winning ONE of these higher-profile OOC games this year based on what we’ve witnessed so far. Go Zips!!
  5. Watched a little of this as well. Golden's got to be wondering if he'll ever win the MAC East. There's no doubt he won't be at Temple a whole lot longer, so maybe the window is closing quickly.
  6. Most definitely.....but they were letting a lot of things go around the basket most of the game on both sides.
  7. 6 pack? You easily got time for 12! Now that's the enthusiam we need to see on the field tomorrow night! Throw in a couple of DReal patented machine gun blasts.... :gun: Go Zips!!!
  8. Because of work schedules and the earlier start time, my wife and I are being forced into a "tailgate light" scenario. We plan to get there around 5:15 (with Taco Bell and a 6-pack in hand ).
  9. The line looks to be Dayton by 12 to 12.5 points. I defintely would take the points.
  10. It's almost as if it's personal to you, MDZip Like you say though, it's nothing the Zips can't overcome. Go Zips!!
  11. Gaffney article confirms Dysert will be a game time decision. There's some discussion on recruiting also. Marvase Byrd has left the program. I had a chance to talk to his father during the spring game. He's a very pleasant guy and I wish for the best for Marvase.
  12. I'll second Dr. Z's compliments. Nice job, ZW! Thanks for the link, Dr. Z
  13. That caught my eye too, MDZip! We can thank NIU and Temple for leading the way. I'm sort of hoping they both win out (should be a breeze for NIU facing Ball St and EMU in the last 2 games) to set up a nice, relatively high-profile MAC championship game.
  14. Trying to find a line on this game, and I thought I might have seen in a Google search "Dayton favored by 7" but I can't confirm (web site blocked). Anyone have an official line? 7 sounds about right. I figure both Nik and Nitro (sounds like a mixed drink) are keys to this game. If we get healthy contributions from both, I think the upset is there for the taking.
  15. Could Dysert be questionable for Wednesday? More on his rib injury
  16. UAS Today odds have the Zips as 12.5 to 13 point underdogs. Once again the Zip secondary will be tested, with Zac Dysert having already piled up the STATS so far this year. The good news is that he is more than capable of throwing the pick. Can the Zips force enough mistakes to compete?
  17. One might think the opportunity to play alongside your brother might also have been a factor.
  18. LMAO, I missed that the 1st time Thanks!
  19. According to THIS ARTICLE this does not necessarily mean that Teal has selected the US over Canada for future play. Apparently, since this is an exhibition (friendly), he can put off the decision for a little while longer.
  20. Wow, great for Teal!! This is interesting timing with SteveO reportedly having made a decision (but he's not telling just yet) as to which country to represent in international competition.
  21. The WAC adds UT-San Antonio, Texas St and Denver (non-football)
  22. Beacon Article on Zeke etc. Includes a Chris Kaman reference!
  23. Well I won't be able to make the trip, but I will eagerly anticipate a 'Meister sighting on STO next Tuesday! This almost belongs in an episode of In Search Of..., featuring Leonard Nimoy.
