  1. Was thinking the same. Hopefully he won't slide too much farther.
  2. Kofi is definitely falling lower than I expected. Maybe Portland will wind up with another Zip (Ampai, Nano, Kofi?) to foster some chemistry.
  3. Nagbe vs. Steve-O in a Pac Northwest Derby should be sweet.
  4. Nice! We probably don't have the bodies yet, but it would be cool to see an actual split squad srimmage in the spring game this year. Either way, I look forward to seeing "The Lone Ranger" on the field.
  5. I don't want them yelled at either. Yelling is for practice. I'm more interested in whether or not a different strategy was deployed. We pressured and double-teamed a lot in the 2nd half. OU picked us apart. I wouldn't read too much into one game. OU played well, but they have not shown the ability to play with any consistency thus far. Very thin in the front court until next year. Even very good teams come out flat from time to time. If this Ohio team were to play Akron in a 10-game series, Akron would still win 7. In my mind, the jury is still out on John Groce - he's certainly a good recruiter and should have a much better team next year, but I'm not sold on his ability to coach up a team its full potential. Dambrot is much better than that in my mind. Who are you and what have you done with jupitertoo's body? Warning, MDZip! Warning, MDZip! Intruder approaching, intent unclear.
  6. Additional Confirmation (beyond Facebook ) Not sure why it's talking Rivals, ESPN, and Scout so long to have him listed as a commit.
  7. Chivas might tap Akron "pipeline" again
  8. I'm sure some would look at this as "poaching", but I hope the staff doesn't rule out anybody from here until
  9. Pretty Cool Description of These Sacks
  10. Zips, Chipps and Owls not giving up on BGSU verbal Scout Profile
  11. +1 I'd throw in another LB (assuming Rossi will indeed play on offense) or 2 and a rush DE to replace Lemon. Speaking of LBs and DEs, is there any chance for Sean Fobbs to get a RS season for 2010? I believe he played as a true FR in 2007.
  12. Man, I wished I had watched this if only to see Nate getting the better of 'Toine. That's hilarious.
  13. If the Zips don't get better soon, everyone will be able to have their own urinal at the games used only by them. Would you have to buy a PUL (personal Urinal License)? PUL works for me. I think I might have had one for the Buffalo game.
  14. Take out a dozen urinals and replace them with a couple of troughs. They don't have to be nasty, rust-stained, off-white, paint badly chipping troughs, though. Stainless steel might be nice. Then secure naming rights to said troughs for $2500 a pop.
  15. Doesn't look like it. Crutcher just verballed to Ball State. Really? Solich might have to sleep this one off.
  16. Waiting until the last minute, I'm going against the ZN grain to predict a Duck victory. Oregon 48 Auburn 38 I don't think the "Blur" is really a gimmick offense. It's just a fast version of the spread, run by a team that wants as many possessions as possible because it thinks it is BETTER than you. We'll soon see if they're justified in their attitude out there tonight.
  17. I haven't followed BG, but looking at their schedule, other than a couple of exceptions they've played pretty much nobody but crap teams. In that 5-1 run, the only win over a team with a winning record was the Buffalo win. Granted, you can only beat who you schedule, but I'm just not reading too much into it yet. BG's 67-61 win AT St. Louis, despite the the Billikens' 5-10 record, is pretty impressive to me when you look at the whole of St. Louis' schedule and results.
  18. While I generally enjoy ex-MAC foes (aside from K.E.N.T.) making noise in the NFL, I wonder how ex-UB RB James Starks breakout game for Green Bay yesterday might aid in UB recruiting. As UA and UB frequently butt heads on the recruiting trails, I wonder if this might hurt our chances of signing some late prospects?
  19. I clicked on this link to read the story, but I was too distracted by the pop culture links to the right to read. Whether or not Pawn Shop Pryor (psp) plays is not important in a game like this for tOSU. They are going to come out and try to run their base offense for four quarters like they do during the MAC portion of their schedule to try and get everyone ready for the season. They can do that with a back-up. It’s not much the loss of Pryor that intrigues me. They’ll also be missing starting RB Herron and a few others. Add this to the loss of several other starters due to graduation. Then consider that the Zips run defense, while far from stellar, was actually fairly decent in 2010. Perhaps even a slight improvement here might make it somewhat difficult for the Red & Silver to simply run it down the Zips throats using their basic offense without at least getting the back-up QB involved beyond simply handing the ball off. Don’t get me wrong. I’m not making a case for a glorious upset. I just think these factors might make this contest a little more interesting than one might initially expect from a Big 10 power hosting a team that went 1-10 the prior season.
  20. Who starts against Akron?
  21. Ball State lost a bunch of seniors. Specifically, they lost a Nate Davis. Miamioh's key players are all frosh and sophs. They will not lose 10 next year. Plus they have TWO quality QBs. And while I hate to admit it, history suggests Miami is the best MAC football program.
  22. Was surprised to see him in there as much as he was. Yes it was disappointing not to have a chance to get Egner involved, but at least he wasn't exposed like his former HS teammate was. Defensively, there is NO way he could stay with either Nik or Brett. And we thought Euton's 3-pt shooting style was a little unorthodox. I know it's early, but I think Egner looks to be the far better prospect for college ball.
  23. I may have overestimated U@B (time will tell), but I'm not so sure that the bigger story in BG's 2OT win isn't the Falcons emergence over the last 6 games (5-1 after a 1-8 start) rather than the Bulls deficiencies. I certainly wouldn't assume from this result that the Zips will have an easy go of it next weekend. I think we're in for a season of surprises (game to game) in the MAC this year.
  24. +1
