With that OU beatdown and some other things that have made this week the worst week of my life (seriously), i will be partaking in some big time pregaming in Can't, New Jersey. See all of you at the game at the conclusion of my drinking of the entire city of Can't's beer supply. GO ZIPS..LETS DO THIS.

You're right, minus one thing: For Can't and us, the Q is more of a home court than neutral. We have a tremendous advantage there when we bring some big crowds. Let's just hope people show up, we avoid OU, and we play our game against any other competition.

it's to the point that root and myself are agreeing!!! how messed up do you have to be to get root and myself to agree. all in good fun buddy. haha for real.

This guy is a buffoon.

I think all three of the reasons were legitimate. Freeman is as big of a flopper as there is in the MAC, Groce had his starters in when the game was well in hand, and I would really hope he made sure our players remembered that scoreboard...that was EMBARRASSING. As far as Groce leaving his starters in though, I can't really blame him considering the monster lead they blew just a few nights prior. I would have done nearly the same thing.

Fact is, 1st round bye is completely in the Zips hands right now. With a win over the Flushes, and either Miami or OU losing to the other, the Zips will get a first round bye. Personally, I'll be rooting for OU on Friday night. Much rather have them as a three seed where we wouldn't have to play them till the final. Amen brother

His explanation in his post game press conference seemed legit: He said he wanted the team to dwell on what it's like to be on the short end of a 25-point loss rather than think about running off the court and to the bus as quickly as possible. He's clearly wanting to instill anger in them in case they face OU again in the tournament. His team should have had some anger in them already from the loss in the MACC last year or at least the embarrassment at home in January.

I just wish Akron did it. Ask the AD if it's possible, and see if you get the same response I got. What kind of response did you get? Got a response today about my question regarding the video feed: My question: Answer: btw, he CC'ed my answer to two other UAkron employees.

Not likely, but what are we all worrying about? We still could stomp out Can't and have a great time Friday, then get the privilege of one more home game! I don't know about you guys but I wouldn't mind the Zips getting a little warm-up cupcake to beat down on Tuesday!

Zach, let's be serious for a second. McNees wasn't the problem tonight. It's near impossible to blame just one player obviously (as most of the team played terrible) but if we had to assign blame to everyone and see who had the most, it would NO DOUBT be Brett McKnight. He really put us in a hole with some bad shots and even worse defense.

Yes, in the NBA someone would knock him down once and stop letting him run circles around the floor. We get really weak when it comes to him. Btw, trading Zeke for Cooper is asinine for multiple reasons. Zeke played a pretty tough game at times and I wish his early intensity had been shared by the rest of the team.
-
wow, cooper just threw a shoulder into Nik and ran him over, yet gets to shoot free throws.
-
You're right...there is no way this is coincidence now. Just mind blowing.
-
too bad this isn't hockey...i would enjoy watching Cooper get beat on by Bardo.
-
embarrassing. Can we stop letting that little freak dominate us?
-
Looks like it's going to be "those" kind of officials again tonight. Can't we just play basketball?
-
Just checked the OU url, and they have a link up to "listen" to the game but not to "watch" the game. Hope this doesn't mean a radio feed only. The video feed usually comes up by game time. I'm sure it will be up.

This isn't far enough to the end of the year, Can't should be the last game of the season. Rivalry games should always be that last game...ALWAYS. This isn't Ohio State vs. Michigan. In case you haven't noticed, we're struggling to draw fans for ANY game. The further you push this game towards the end of the season, the more likely you are to have a poor crowd for a matchup that would otherwise provide our only chance for a significant draw for as long as we remain a non-contending team. So what better than put our rival as the last home game?...that should draw more than usual to a game that no one would have went to. Also, attendance could be solved by removing the idiots in charge over at Athletics and actually winning a few games here and there.

Yes...exactly. He has no clue how to run the offense through a true center like Zeke...i think this is plainly obvious to anyone watching a few games. Zeke is the most under utilized player in the league in terms of his offensive ability. The difference is simple. Zeke doesn't have that drive that Wood had. J Wood was a natural bruiser and he understood that sometimes you gotta get mad and get physical. I dont know if that was something he naturally had or if it was coached into him early but either way Zeke doesn't have it. And hey, sure i'm not a coach, i dont know what Coach D isn't doing exactly, but he's definitely screwing up somewhere. We've all seen what Marshall is capable of doing and when he gets pissed and plays his game, he's unstoppable. So maybe someone needs to get in his face and get him mad, i dont know. My best guess is Jeff Boals was far more important than we realized.

Being real here for one second, I reflect back to how well the KD-coached Zips offense worked when run through Jeremiah Wood in the post. OK, now I'm back to my usual unreal self ..... TRUE center. Wood was essentially Brett McKnight with a little more post skill and a lot more heart.
-
haha...joke of the day right there. btw, i'll be there...with a possible live blog from the game on ASN.

I think you completely missed my point. The football players are deserting the sinking ship in droves. That might have happened with someone that would get other offers if we kept losing. I get you....though I am a bit worried about Marshall. And let's be real here for one second. Does anyone honestly think that the coaching staff hasn't mismanaged Zeke? Zeke could really use a coach who knows what the hell he's doing in terms of running an offense through a true center, I don't think Dambrot has a clue what he's doing in that respect. Now in terms of everything else, Dambrot is pretty good...in fact he's great with his defense.

yeah...talk about dropping the ball. Glad we made our Rowdies shirts the same color as our hated rivals' jerseys. And we used the wrong blue for good measure. ugh.
