  1. Would love to beat the quitter in the tourney. I wouldn't say he was a quitter. He was a good coach that elevated the program and is partly responsible for where we are now. He left because he didn't think he could compete for a National Championship at Akron. He was wrong and I'd love to prove his theory wrong by beating Louisville on the road to becoming Louisville is a match-up that really interests me because they are a big name school, and we trail in the all-time series with them 0-2-1. 2. the only thing the zips learned is "dont except to get ANY calls when you play the Buckeyes" Yes, there were no penalty kicks awarded to the Zips or red cards doled out to the Buckeyes. We played a lousy game, get over it. Spoken like someone who wasn't there. This wasn't a loosely officated game, this was a case of the Buckeyes pushing us around and when we attempted to push back WE GOT whistled and/or carded. The red card was one of the most blatant acts of unsportsmanlike conduct i've ever witnessed and to be honest, two of their players should have been ejected from that as another one took a swing at one of our players. Like i said before, anyone that was there saw how bad it was. Spoken like someone who complains about the ref every time we lose or has some insane conspiracy theory every time something bad happens to us. Actually I was there. I saw some lousy calls go both ways... and the refs had N-O-T-H-I-N-G to do with last night's result. Lack of focus, shoddy execution, and an entirely too passive approach with a one-goal lead had everything to do with it. oh im sorry, you were there...However i'm sure it was your first soccer match.

Now, we need to move on to tomorrow night's match and not worry about what happened last night. can you explain to me where i said i blamed the officials for the loss? btw, i have clips from the game, gotta see if i have the red card play. I'm not sure if i do though. I'll have them posted in a little while regardless.

  5. couldnt have said it any better. Anyone who was actually at the game would have seen exactly that. OSU is a DIRTY team.

  7. I would love to see that.
  8. Oh i see them EVERY year...they always are! lol
  9. LINK Pretty good bleacher report slideshow. It's of interest because it ranks 120 D1 football schools and has hot chicks. Can't State: 118 Toledo: 115 Buffalo: 114 Ball State: 111 Ohio: 110 Temple: 105 Akron: 101 (Rated higher than our football team!) EMU: 96 BGSU: 86 NIU: 85 CMU: 75 Miami: 67 WMU: 60 Also apparently as far as conferences go, the worse your football programs are, the worse looking you are.

  11. Their problem is no external mic. They are using a camera that has a built in multi directional microphone that picks up EVERYTHING instead of focusing on the speaker.
  12. I dont want to take away from the big rowdies caravan but my group is leaving around 2:45-3pm so we will be tailgating early. Any recommendations on where to tailgate or is anyone else tailgating also?
  13. FYI. The Tap House has recently repainted the inside Red and Silver. I was stunned. I don't know when it happened, but it had to have happened in the last couple of weeks. That's the last time I try to go there to watch a Zips game. When are we going to get a place again like the OBC? from what I hear they are trying to open up in the merriman valley. YES...and if they do they will have one customer that will be there at least once a week.
  14. i just heard there were no spots available....either way, i'm taking a group of 6 down to tailgate early.

  16. I agree, and the scary thing is that we could have had 7 or 8 goals if it weren't for some of our guys getting a little too excited with wide open shots. Not to mention the crossbar shots that were very close.
  17. Buckeye House? No thanks. Going to Tap House, they at least appreciate the Zips.
  18. Another look at Kofi's goal....and an up close look at Perry Kitchen.
  19. About damn time they did something like this, i have been recording some footage of games but i would rather enjoy the game from the front row of the student section right behind the goal than walk around. Camera work is only alright though, BUT definitely on the right track! GO ZIPS btw, i ended up taking a little bit of video. Nothing that great (due to it being near impossible to take video in the middle of the sea of craziness that is the pouch) and no need to put highlights together as they already have them but I guess have some other angles of these goals worth having a look at.
  20. forgot to record the match...anyone know of a site that archives television? The old one i used to use is down.
  21. Well i hope everyone has FSC as i wont be recording any highlights for tonights game (wayyyy too rowdy to bring a camera tonight, plus everyone will be watching on tv hopefully!) but hopefully we can find the highlights on ESPN later.
  22. Plain Dealer article ABJ article tonight is gonna be BIG
  23. they actually had the courts locked last friday when it was getting closer to match time... i'm sure, i'm just saying if it's sold out instead of turning people away they should let them stand there or charge a few bucks to stand there.
  24. I heard that 4,200 was the official capacity for now... they reported last Friday's match as a sellout. And there was PLENTY of space for people to fit in still.
  25. They could stuff 5500 in that place easily. On top of that, anyone that wants to watch with a great view could just stand at the fence on the tennis courts. They should bring those extra bleachers in and set those up on the courts.
