Am i the only one who is sick of all this football talk? I love football as much as the rest of you and of course think of the football program as the most important at UA but all of this is just starting to make me sick. The thought of Ianello and his destruction of this program is a terrible thing.

Money shouldn't be an issue with this program. If the right person was hired we wouldn't have this debacle. TW should step down for incompetency, Ianello should be fired, and we should move on from all of this instead of wasting more time. We need to woo a big donor to throw some money at this problem.

I find it amusing that the goalie claimed that CSU "is one of the best teams in the NCAA" ...ok you beat us but let's not be crazy.

I think the bigger question is: What the heck are you 36 people who voted "that we should give Ianello more time" thinking?! Haven't you had enough losing? My God Ianello is such a downer that i think he's rubbing off on the Soccer team! Porter must have caught some of it when he went and spoke to the football team earlier this year.

Sadly , not even close: CSU is 148 in RPI, Hartwick is 194. (out of 204 teams)

Can't believe only one person has mentioned this but then i realized that a majority of the Akron fans were midfield and over away from the play. That guy was MASSIVELY offsides on that goal. The play was directly right in front of me as i was on the field at about the 15 yard line when he broke free about 5 feet at least in front of Valentin. Just disgusting how one subjective call can take a game from us. Granted we were playing terrible but we finally had turned it on and right then, BAM. On another note, two sides of the spectrum in class today: 1) A CSU player went down with a cramp and Zarek Valentin went up and started stretching him right away until the trainer could make it on the field....very classy. 2) At the conclusion of the game the Vikings goalie (wearing all pink, not the breast cancer awareness pink but HOT pink) ran up to our players bench and gave the entire team the bird before joining his team at mid field. Just CLASSLESS.

Had a chance to stop by, it was definitely a nice event. Best "meet the team" night they've ever done.

6% lead...starting to put them away. Let's absolutely crush everyone else.

Watched Grice play tonight at the Info. He definitely has some talent, he made a few stupid mistakes but he also made some real nice plays. Definitely a great pickup and good to see a local kid staying here.

Thanks for posting it. I was curious to see what their fans has to say. They seem like they have a knowlegable, solid following. I'd say they are something that Akron could be. A decent sized city with a good following for it's local University. They have 1/4 of the student population of Akron but an amazing following locally. On another note, alot of people have been mentioning lately (including the Creighton fans) that the pitch looks like it's in bad shape. I personally think it looks fine, and recently have had the chance to walk a good deal of it, but it sure as hell seems like we've been slipping a lot.

you mean the "cupcake teams" that OSU killed and we in turn got killed by? We essentially play OSU's cupcake schedule...difference is it's 9 out of our 12 games each year and not 4 or 5.

that was believable 6 weeks ago, questionable 5 weeks ago, very unlikely 4 weeks ago, laughable 3 weeks ago, and impossible two weeks ago....i wont even get into last week or this week.

I wouldn't say we played bad tonight, i just think Jamie Clark had his Bluejays come in with a very good gameplan and they executed great as well. The Zips had a few opportunities that just didn't quite go for them and though early in the game Meves made some stupid plays, in the end it didnt hurt us. A WIN IS A WIN.

Hey RI...ill suit up and play scout defense for you guys, probably be a little better practice for the first team receivers to have someone who can actually cover them at corner!

You'll need to be more original than that to gain traction on ZN.O. I'll stand by it. Every one of Dave in Green's posts defends the coach/program. Strange. Wait until you read some of his basketball posts. He is a valued member of ZNO. I was going to say the same thing. Defending ICC so vehemently is not normal "Dave". Usually we agree on things! Your explanation above is alright though, i just dont see anything in this coach and I dont believe it's worth wasting multiple years on something that we can pretty much see has failed already.

They already have been distributed. They have days every so often you can go pick your prizes up.

I don't believe ZachtheZip was attempting to defend ICC (iCantCoach) with that post about the recruit. He was just trying to point out the commit and show a welcome to the young man. Also, he's only a two star recruit so i dont believe it would be a great argument anyhow.

I agree, i would hope any new arena we build is at least around 9-10k. Our program is destined for BIG THINGS.
