  1. He's Bobby Knight without the Orrville charm. Actually, Knight occasionally stopped b!+ch!ng at the refs.
  2. Nice to see the conference stand up to cry baby Bobby. What an irritating numbskull that guy is. I suspect he may be moved along after this season. The video isn't bad as expected. I could imagine him being much worse given his general attitude towards officials. I do miss him coming to the JAR. He's one of the few people I take pleasure in verbally abusing.
  3. All is well. He has the Jack Wagon Seal of Approval.
  4. It's a little odd in that they are number one in 3 point percentage but in the bottom half of threes made per game.
  5. CMU is in a real position of rebuilding. They have a new head coach, Tony Barbee who was an assistant at Kentucky and before that had head-coaching stops at Auburn and UTEP. The team has 12 players who were not on last year's roster. They have four returnees, including starters Ralph Bissainthe and Audre Polk. Polk, a 6-foot-10 sophomore from Detroit who was on the All-MAC Freshman Team last year. They have really struggled so far. Looking at the MAC stats, they are 11th in points scored per game and 12th in points surrendered per game. They are last in point margin at -19.4 per game. They are last in field goal percentage, opponent field goal percentage, rebounds per game and rebounds per game margin. They also have trouble with turnovers and are 11th in TO margin. They are first in 3 point percentage.
  6. I wasn't expecting as much 2-3 zone as we saw. I thought that was buried with Rob Murphy. That always gums things up
  7. The Zips visit Mount Pleasant Tuesday to play one of the few teams left with a native American team name. The Chippewas are dismal 2-12 and haven’t played since January 11th. Jermaine Jackson Jr. leads the Chipps at a mere 11.4 ppg. Ralph BIssainthe leads rebounding at 7.1 rpg. Their two wins are against PCCC and Eastern Illinois. In their last game on January 11th they lost by 31 (99-68) to Eastern Michigan.
  8. I'm not giving back the win but damn, this is one of the most frustrating Zips hoops teams in recent memory.
  9. At least the defense is good. Holding them to 35% shooting.
  10. 5 minutes into the 2nd half and 4 of our starters have combined for 14 points.
  11. Leave Freeman out top with the ball and nobody move to get open.
  12. Well, that half wasn't complete loss. It was ugly enough that I didn't feel guilty peeking at the Bengals/Titans game.
  13. Zips need to move the damn ball and stop dribbling so much against the zone.
  14. Crowd- large Clarke- Comfortable It's all relative.
  15. Nice to see the officials brought their microscopes tonight.
  16. The old man in my head just said "you guys are 20 years old. Wake the hell up."
  17. Trimble with one solid 3, not rushed, moving towards the hoop, a make. One rushed, falling away, no good. There's a lesson there.
  18. Two starters, including Farakhan, out for EMU.
  19. I remember those huge EMU front lines 3 or 4 years ago with Thompson, Groce and Boubacar, all 6'9" or bigger. They were ineffective but they were big!
