I suspected that I was going to end up altering this thread when I typed it when I saw how the games were continuing to be bounced around. It's sure going to be interesting to see how this all plays out.
The Zips head to Athens Tuesday night to face the surging Bobcats. OU has won three in a row and were to play EMU, who was replaced by BG, and then that game was also postponed.
OU is led by MAC POY candidate Jason Preston who received all kinds of pre-season and early season attention documenting his journey from little used high school player to top notch D1 guard. He is averaging 16.4 ppg, 7.4 apg and 7.2 rpg. James Madison transfer Dwight Wilson averages 15.6 ppg and 7.6 rpg while second team pre-season All-MAC second teamer Ben VanderPlas averages 12.8 ppg and 5.5 ppg.
The Zips ripped the Bobcats 90-70 at the JAR on December 22nd with Trimble and Jackson combining for 43.
Fewer minutes again tonight, down to 13. Dawson and Wynn are taking those minutes.
They're dwindling- minutes in his last 6 games- 25, 22, 24, 19, 18, 13.
Can't let them think they have any hoped in the first minutes of the half. Come out and punch them in the mouth, they'll get frustrated and fall apart.
