  1. Recap of the last week and preview of Ball State-
  2. Technically, I think Huggins would be the greatest OVC coach of all time!
  3. Not to take anything away from KD, but he also had 13 years to do it. I wish KD luck. We were fortunate to have him, his commitment and the blotch in his past that allowed him to stay here for so long. I'm afraid we won't have that with Groce as his success might well draw him elsewhere. Hopefully, his lack of success at Illinois will dissuade bigger programs from trying to snatch him up.
  4. I don't see Freeman out of the post. I've never seen him take a shot more than 5 feet from the basket. One of the benefits of having him is that you don't have to make an effort to get him the ball for him to contribute. As for Ali, he was certainly good in the post against EMU but the primary reason he was in that position was that it was his job (and Wynn's) to get into the middle against the zone. Get the ball there against the 3-2 and things start to break down. I don't think we'll see him there much going forward but it is certainly encouraging he can be an offensive post presence.
  5. Could see it determined by win percentage.
  6. I think he may have had an off night and his color guy was rough. He was decent with the Ducks.
  7. I take back anything positive I have said about BG. They're really undisciplined on offense. Two of the top 10 players in the MAC and the seven dwarfs. Fulcher was good tonight but they need more help. No Big Boy Swingle against Shalersville.
  8. Shalersville State announcers make Reghi sound like Gus Johnson.
  9. This BG game is an up and down the floor contest with both teams pushing the ball.
  10. He's great. They should do all they can to keep him but eventually won't be able to. If there's a coach on campus that deserves big money it is him (maybe soccer).
  11. Michael Flowers, after a contentious split with WMU that almost prevented him from playing this year, is scoring 22+ ppg for South Alabama.
  12. I still think OU will come around (much to NW's chagrin) by the end of the season. They have too much talent to dwell in the middle of the MAC. It will be a fun tournament, God willing.
  13. Miami's improvement is even more impressive given that their leading scorer Sabande bailed.
  14. Brimfield Career Center gets BG tonight. Should be an interesting one.
  15. The Zips finally get a little rest before the Ball Stare Cardinals visit this Saturday at 2:00. The Cards are 6-7 overall and 4-4 in the MAC. They are a hard team to figure. They beat BG at BG by 21 and handled OU early, but lost their last two to OU and Miami. 5th year redshirt 6'3" guard KJ Walton (Missouri transfer) leads scoring at 16.1 ppg. Khalid Al-Amin's kid, Ishmael, scores 15.3 ppg. Walton and 6'9" junior Myrene Johnson who played at Cleveland Central Catholic lead rebounding at 5.6 rpg. The Cards were picked to finish 5th in the MAC pre-season poll with Al-Amin named to the All--MAC second team.
  16. Wynn with his best game tonight. No Marshall until mop up time.
  17. Not a goal tend
  18. How much has Ali Ali improved this year?
  19. An hour and 38 minutes in and no one on the broadcast has used the terms "the rock" or "heat check."
  20. Hopefully this game is a confidence builder for Maishe.
  21. Lord, how did they every lose to this awful team??????
  22. Nice to see the "light come on" for the Zips with the zone.
  23. Just what we need from guys like Wynn, Dawson and Tribble- energy off the bench and strong D.
  24. Some real energy tonight.
