Maybe as a non-state actor (Gueye) the Court of Claims is not the proper forum for a case against him. Also, I suspect he's not collectable. Here's a link to the complaint- https://ohcourtportal.tylerhost.net/Portal/DocumentViewer/Index/JSHNe2P1SDNQmsBqI6uaok_Mg3zcBXLSbkYlNuGafIX2qrO47lsub3IEsNv4Oh9WA8pe-mfm_mOhKfaqq_4NhMdDNI7MVtV7Z22oHvVSQ3HYLagEoljL8f8fUCCIooiT0?p=0

Scotty looked pretty intimidated next to his teammates at the ice cream social. ? I had two main worries with this situation. First, how did it get to this level? Usually that hostility builds, it's not an unexpected lashing out. Second, he drove himself to the hospital. Those are now questions for the Court of Claims.

Biggest Moment in Zip Football History
clarkwgriswold replied to DannyHoke's topic in Akron Zips Football
December 18, 1985- Zips relieve Jim Dennison of his duties and hire Gerry Faust. Regardless of whether you think it was a good or bad decision, it was a huge one that dictated the future of the program. -

Good stuff. The faster pace should make things fun. Also like the continued stressing of defense. -

Agreed, but they tied his hands resulting in a 2-10 season. -

I took a look at the hire dates of new coaches at some similarly positioned universities: East Carolina- 11/27 Western Kentucky- 11/28 BGSU- 11/28 CMU- 12/2 UMass- 12/3 Austin Peay- 12/4 Utah State- 12/9 Akron- 12/14 Waiting not only reduces your pool of candidates but ties their hands when they get the job. I'm curious to see how this staff does with a full calendar of recruiting. -

I was amazed when during the Can't game Frenchy mentioned that Kato was the first Zip to eclipse 100 yards rushing (FOR THE SEASON, NOT A GAME!). -

Oh, so now you expect us to rely on the accounts of people who were actually there as opposed to someone seeing a photo or a brief TV clip? That's preposterous! -
Well done (again)!

A full recruiting season would be a hell of a start. If we want to criticize the AD, we should be critical of him taking so damn long to make a hire. I guess part of the reason was that lovely South Carolina makeup, but the new staff was left with nothing for recruiting. -

To get suspended in mid-season, especially when you're the QB of a struggling team, is unforgivable. I suspect we may never see Kato in a Zips uniform again. If Arth yells, he's out of control and in over his head. If he didn't get mad and yell, he'd have no fire. -

Arth is going to have to hit the jucos hard to rescue the OL. -

That's a look of frustration. -

You need to work on your reading comprehension. The considerable majority of those who wanted Bowden gone are disappointed with what's happening this year, they've just decided to be patient and not predict the future based upon only 6 games (especially when there's no quick fix available). -

I spoke to Dr. Miller today and he assured me that the opinions on anonymous forums will be given strong consideration in his review of the AD and the football program. He urged all critics to post the same things repeatedly to make sure their points got through. -
This may be a possibility. I had heard he was taking a class or classes at Stark Tech, so maybe that's his avenue to qualifying.
-
I think "simple" is the operative word here.
-
Agreed. The problem is that your post lump equate being anti-Bowden with being pro-Arth. I was ready to see Bowden and his issues move along, but that doesn't mean I wholeheartedly support Arth. For me, that jury's still out.
-
I don't think anyone on here got a vote on who would be the coach if Bowden got jettisoned. People's dissatisfaction with Bowden and the identity of his replacement are two entirely separate issues.
-
You might want to start a Gofundme page for his buyout.
-
Let's hope he's taking Title IX graduate classes.

Good point. I said it more tongue in cheek, referencing the "recruiting" rumors surrounding him. -

I appreciate the observations, but I don't see the talent you do. Offensive line is awful, they have no running backs and the DBs are a mess. As for Hoban's coach, he sure could help recruiting. -

Yep, Archie Miller leaving for Indiana coupled with the injury combined to end his time at Dayton.
