  1. Under/over is 166.5.
  2. We played two very different games against Toledo. At the JAR on January 14th, the Zips were down 12 at half and outscored Toledo 55-36 in the second half to win 85-78. On March 4th, at Toledo, the Zips were up 21 at half then got outscored 63-51 in the second half, winning 96-87. I'd suggest that the Zips should outscore the Rockets in both halves tomorrow to remove the suspense.
  3. "Precocious" was apparently on Reghi's Word Power tapes this week.
  4. Nice to know I can strike someone in the face if they're in my area of verticality. This feels like it might start getting chippy.
  5. I took off my glasses and pounded a table too.
  6. Make the damn layup. It isn't showtime!
  7. Inside and penetration starting to work as BG focuses on defending the 3.
  8. One area where the Zips have not been good is coming out of a timeout right before the half. Seth and Marcus Johnson should know each other from their time at SVSM.
  9. Todd Simon did not get the memo that the defense should focus on defending the three.
  10. She was just riding her unicycle around the kitchen one day....
  11. To what will be his 4th school in 4 years. I wonder if he's lowered his hood yet.
  12. Nate got the award by being the best player on the best team and being solid across the board in the MAC: * 17th in scoring * 20th in rebounds per game * 16th in field goal percentage * 16th in assists per game * 5th in assist to turnover ration * 24th in blocks per game * 3rd in steals Another stat indicative of his play and the Zips depth is that he was the top Zip in minutes yet only 19th in the conference.
  13. I'm happy for all of the guys that made the teams but I think I am happiest for Shammah. I can't imagine it is easy to be that talented yet not start. Instead of sulking Shammah knows and relishes his role and excelled in it. It's also obvious that he has worked hard on his game.
  14. Nate wasn't first or second team- https://getsomemaction.com/news/2024/10/21/mac-announces-2024-25-mens-basketball-preseason-poll-teams.aspx
  15. I think the Third Team would win in a matchup against the first and second teams as they get to put 6 players on the floor!

  18. Miami. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Still angers me years later.
  19. However, from what I see the student attendance now is the highest it has been in well over a decade.
  20. Evan is the ML Carr of the MAC. If you get this, you are officially old.
  21. The JAR is a ****hole, but it's our ****hole. I'd love to see a new facility or a revamped facility but a school that is budgetary trouble and cutting staff has bigger concerns than throwing money at an adequate facility and doesn't much care about the comfort of the stalwarts that go to the games.
  22. Ohio.com/Beacon article on the Zips as they enter the MAC tournament- https://www.beaconjournal.com/story/sports/college/zips/2025/03/10/akron-zips-mens-college-basketball-mac-tournament-cleveland-bowling-green-falcons-march-madness/82058121007/?tbref=hp
  23. As for Groce's son, the word is he is on his way to a smaller program next season. This year was a chance to play for his dad and get some practice experience against solid competition before heading off to somewhere he can play.
  24. I think the bigger quandary would be choosing the expletive to insert before "no."
