  1. I spoke to Dr. Miller today and he assured me that the opinions on anonymous forums will be given strong consideration in his review of the AD and the football program. He urged all critics to post the same things repeatedly to make sure their points got through.
  2. This may be a possibility. I had heard he was taking a class or classes at Stark Tech, so maybe that's his avenue to qualifying.
  3. I think "simple" is the operative word here.
  4. Agreed. The problem is that your post lump equate being anti-Bowden with being pro-Arth. I was ready to see Bowden and his issues move along, but that doesn't mean I wholeheartedly support Arth. For me, that jury's still out.
  5. I don't think anyone on here got a vote on who would be the coach if Bowden got jettisoned. People's dissatisfaction with Bowden and the identity of his replacement are two entirely separate issues.
  6. You might want to start a Gofundme page for his buyout.
  7. Let's hope he's taking Title IX graduate classes.
  8. Good point. I said it more tongue in cheek, referencing the "recruiting" rumors surrounding him.
  9. I appreciate the observations, but I don't see the talent you do. Offensive line is awful, they have no running backs and the DBs are a mess. As for Hoban's coach, he sure could help recruiting.
  10. Yep, Archie Miller leaving for Indiana coupled with the injury combined to end his time at Dayton.
  11. All of his stats dropped off from his sophomore to junior year. Apparently, he hurt his back mid-season and when he returned he was essentially phased out. Here's a good explanation- https://www.whio.com/news/jablonski-transfer-decision-xeyrius-williams-not-surprise/yNBTRliP7JT16XaGie6BFI/
  12. Something to look forward to- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0dvpYulj9pg
  13. In hindsight, anybody would have been an improvement over the underachieving malcontent whiner Harney. That guy's my second least favorite Zip of all-time, right behind Khadim Gueye (and it's close).
  14. 22 days until the opening game. I expect to see a starting lineup of LCJ, Cheese, Banks, X and Riak, with Reece, Roscoe, Tribble and Sayles contributing from the bench. I think we could also see a conventional two guard, one center and two forwards lineup with Reece and X on the floor together with another big as X can play away from the basket and has a decent 3 point shot. I hope Tribble can be effective as the backup point rather than having Cheese there out of necessity. I'm very eager to see this team with hopes it can continue to improve. They went from 14 wins to 17 last year. Here's hoping the improvement continues to a 20 win year. These are all Groce's kids now, so we'd better see the fruits of his recruiting labor.
  15. I get your disappointment with the current staff, but to call that group of hacks "a great coaching staff of legitimate FBS coaches" is downright delusional.
  16. He has to do what he can to get them in place while he has the time clock to do it, but being in that position as a team goes to team discipline.
  17. My "are you *%#@ing kidding me?" moment last year was when the Zips lined up on the wrong side of the field for the kickoff after an opposing team TD. I had that moment today on their first play from scrimmage which resulted in a timeout before they could run the play they'd rehearsed all damn week. I don't expect wins or the type of play I'd see from a team with more individual talent. If an opponent's players run faster, jump higher and throw it farther, so be it, but I can't bear mental errors and undisciplined penalties. That needs to change, and fast.
  18. I've been one of those on here that has consistently urged patience. Every time something happens like having to call a timeout on your FIRST PLAY because someone is out of position, or a stupid penalty is committed, a little bit of my patience is whittled away.
  19. If they could just get those cool lanes that widen as they get closer to the baselines!
  20. I think the walk on kid who excelled in the Akron Canton Pro Am league has the potential to...........keep Marquelle McIntire from getting lonely at the end of the bench this year. I don't have much confidence in the Blue Ribbon forecast. It obviously places a lot of emphasis on last year's results.
  21. How about Terrence Keyes, former SVSM RB now at Massillon?
  22. Nice to see the Akron Canton Pro Am league is still stressing defense!
