  1. Some awful penalties and kick coverage. Offense looks good.
  2. Two drops in the end zone. Ugh.
  3. That was Toccoa Falls College who lost their next game to Mercer by 77! App. State has Iowa State this week which should be a little more of a barometer.
  4. I'm aware of that skip. I think we're just misunderstanding each other's points.
  5. Always tough to tell from the stats, but they look like they can score and have some depth as they've had some nice contributions from their bench. I'm thinking I won't miss Coppin State!
  6. Sorry skip-zip, but I did not say or imply that. My point was that the Zips do not have the on the field talent right now to be successful without their starting QB and that was evidenced by a loss to an awful team. PCCC is one of the worst FBS teams in college football.
  7. Just stating an opinion ZippyRulz, but thanks for the direction. Feel free to skip my posts.
  8. I'm not happy to say it, but I think the clear problem is that the Zips are just not that good of a football team to begin with, so there's not enough talent on the field to make up for the loss of a starting QB (as demonstrated by a loss to a team beaten by Portage County CC).
  9. So, the Zips had involved assistants and made free throws. Holy smokes. If they stopped dribble penetration and occasionally pressured the ball, I may not be able to contain myself!
  10. Yep, I don't get the obsession. I don't give any more of a $h!+ about Keith Dambrot at this juncture than I do about Bobby Hurley, Tubby Smith, Steve Alford or any other of the hundreds of college coaches in the USA. I'm not overly angry or sour about him leaving and appreciate his contributions, but once he moved on so did my interest in what he's doing.
  11. Involved assistants? What a novel concept! I like it.
  12. Nice opener for our young Zips.
  13. Dark purple as I recall, for pancreatic cancer.
  14. Hang in there ZipsVoice!
  15. They should all read Peters tonight. Purple honoring Dan Peters.
  16. Time and patience. Grrrrrr...time and patience...
  17. I'm concerned that regardless of the seriousness of Woodson's offense that he used such bad judgment at such an integral part of the season. He essentially doubled up on his stupidity.
  18. Burns my keister that I won't be able to be there tonight for the start of the Groce era. This game's a nice opener for the Zips. No disrespect to CSU, but it isn't a strong opponent yet it isn't a Radford/Coppin State level walkover. Could be a competitive matchup.
  19. I shouldn't watch these. I always feel like I'm watching an endless loop.
  20. Good points B & G. I can't get too excited over bowl eligibility though as becoming bowl eligible in this day and age has become the equivalent of being a Possible Publisher's Clearing House Grand Prize Winner.
  21. Wow, that's the first time I've ever said something that was thought provoking.
  22. They didn't want to watch it either!
  23. We'll find out why Woodson was suspended before we get a Sands update.
  24. ...and yet, those same awful Portage County Community College Golden Flushes beat...wait for it...wait for it...Miami.
  25. But it was a very special high quality rubber band!
