The other Kent kids seemed pretty well behaved. 2 of them were having a nice conversation after the game with Groce.
I guess if I was 7 feet tall and 260 and couldn't be successful against the team with the fewest bigs in the MAC and couldn't take advantage of guards on switches, I'd get a little testy too.
Some quick observations:
1) The refs and the Kent staff should be embarrassed by what went down with DeLaRosa. He should have been T'd up AND removed from the bench. He was trying to stir up things from the bench and then went off in the line at the end. No room for that conduct. Funny how he stirs things up with guys like Cotton and Parrish.
2) Atrocious foul shooting from the Zips.
3) Nice leadership from the Zips vets.
4) Nice job with the Canadian National Anthem for Duvivier.
5) I've coached 5th graders with ADHD that had more on court awareness than K-lac. I like the kid, but.....ugh.
6) Mr. Pinky does less with more than any coach in the MAC.
7) Kudos to all of the kids on the floor except DeLaRosa for not getting caught up the emotion.
8) GREAT WIN TO END THE SEASON!
To me, to quote the renowned philosopher Dennis Green, "they are who we thought they were." All in all, there were a couple who did not develop as I'd hoped, but no one who made huge strides or surprised me.
I'm feeling a big game from an unexpected source tonight, maybe Virshon or Parrish.
I'm also curious to see the crowd. Will the rivalry get people out or will the teams' "down" years impact the interest?
It will be very interesting to see the roster going into the first game next year. The nature of D1 basketball indicated we'll lose a scholarship player or two between now and then. Let's hope it's not someone that would really hurt.

Funny, the Beacon called a 12 point Buffalo loss a rout but the 10 point PCCC loss was a game "could have gone either way."
Domesticated parakeets in cages Skip, domesticated parakeets.
Just think what we'd miss if our beat writer cared Skip. We wouldn't have Pulitzer quality work like his article of this morning recounting a Johhny Manziel interview on an Uninterrupted podcast.
The Headline for the Zips/Canada game read "Buffalo routs Zips for No. 1 seed in MAC". That rag has gotten so bad NEO parakeets are refusing to crap on it.
