Agreed. though maybe they approached a number of potential promising recruits who looked up and thought "hmmm, 5 wins since 2019?, no thanks."

I guess somebody has to post a game thread! The Zips head to Mount Pleasant this Saturday to face CMU in their Homecoming Game. The Chippewas come into the game at 3-3 win off of a 37-13 loss at Canada. They've beaten EMU, Southern Alabama and New Hampshire while falling to Canada, Michigan State and Notre Dame.

With what we've seen since, Owens looks like freaking Knute Rockne. It's so damn bad some people yearn for Bowden.

Other than us having to watch bad football the other result of this ongoing losing is on the recruiting trail. It has to be extra difficult to convince a kid to jump into a program that's won 6 games since 2019.

I think we can blame him some for driving the program so far into the dirt that it required a full rebuild (even obviously a multi-year rebuild).

They lost by 6 touchdowns to a one win MAC team. A little tough to be optimistic today. He took on an awful team but I think we were all hoping for more improvement a season and a half in.

Get use to it. This school is in no position to eat another contract. All we can do is settle in and pray that something finally clicks.

This type of horrific football is the result of a lack of talent and/or poor coaching. Recruiting and leadership all come back to the coaching staff. People longing for the Bowden days is evidence of the awfulness of the recent history of this program.

I have found that the best game day experience is to watch winning quality football. I wouldn't mind of they'd turn down the music.
