  1. Nobody is going to want a 59 year old Frank Martin who's gone 63-62 at UMass.
  2. I wouldn't be surprised if Groce has the awkward talk with Briscoe when the season is over and to see him move on. Marvin is showing more and more that he's me then just a desperation back up big and I think we'll see him in additional different roles going forward.
  3. Christion comes in as a freshman at 6'9" but it's hard to believe he'll be ready and may well redishirt.
  4. Lewis, Burno and Heath all canned this morning. Dwayne Stephens just turned off his cell phone.
  5. Now there are reports that Stan Heath is out at EMU.
  6. Michael Lewis (Ball State) and Rashon Burno (NIU) both out. I really thought Michael Lewis had a chance to build something at Ball State but it was all downhill after year 1. Burno was completely checked out Friday.
  7. A loss on senior day to end the season.
  8. That's shown in the stats. They have 7 guys that average double digit points. That demonstrates moving the ball and finding the good open shot. I think one of the keys is Evan shutting down Suter. Suter is no longer their biggest threat but he's the gu that gets it all going. Shutting him down would be a big advantage.
  9. The TNT pre-game show just had Travis on. Bruce Pearl tuned into an apologetic kitten and they proceeded to kiss Travis's a** for 10 minutes. Travis actually made a nice appearance and said nice things about the Zips and Groce.
  10. The haughty (Miami). LOL.
  11. I really like how this has worked out with the Zips coming into the MAC tournament as the hunter and Miami coming in as the hunted.
  12. @Captain Kangaroo has to be a little disappointed tonight as his favorite microphone screamer is absent.
  13. I sure hope there's a large appreciative crowd tonight. These kids deserve it after the seasons of joy they have brought to Zips fans.
  14. I think Sharron should also make the all- defense team.
  15. He was going to be my vote but he didn't meet the age requirement.
  16. Regardless of how earnest Miami's efforts were in creating a challenging schedule, they've clearly benefited from the eventual result. To their credit, it's tough to go undefeated even against a weak schedule as there are always down nights. The Zips have certainly told us how difficult it is to find quality opponents over the years. Another aspect of their schedule that many seem to overlook is how it prepared them for the month of March. Facing tough competition steels you for high pressure tournament games. They have not had that experience and it may well come back to bite them.
  17. I saw an ESPN article with three talking heads predicting the rep of every conference. Two of the 3 selected the Zips.
  18. That's not as many as you would expect for Miami. I have it on good authority that Toledo fouls every time down the court.
