I think the Third Team would win in a matchup against the first and second teams as they get to put 6 players on the floor!
-
You earned it!

Miami. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Still angers me years later.
-
However, from what I see the student attendance now is the highest it has been in well over a decade.
-
Evan is the ML Carr of the MAC. If you get this, you are officially old.
-
The JAR is a ****hole, but it's our ****hole. I'd love to see a new facility or a revamped facility but a school that is budgetary trouble and cutting staff has bigger concerns than throwing money at an adequate facility and doesn't much care about the comfort of the stalwarts that go to the games.

As for Groce's son, the word is he is on his way to a smaller program next season. This year was a chance to play for his dad and get some practice experience against solid competition before heading off to somewhere he can play.
-
I think the bigger quandary would be choosing the expletive to insert before "no."
-
That's outstanding! Thanks for being ZipsNation's historian!
-
Eddie's hiring at Tennessee State was criticized as he had little or no coaching experience at the time. He did pretty well despite that lack of experience. Always seemed like a class guy.
-
Amen. He's my least favorite Zip of all time. The guy and his attitude drove me nuts.
-
It would have to be a very attractive program for him to leave. He's not leaving for a Duquesne like KD, or a Bradley like Geno Ford. It would have to be an SEC, Big 10 or ACC program with a solid base with the potential to succeed, and even then I think it would be tough for him. I also think that if he did it would be a program where he could offer Dustin big money to follow him. I think Dustin has an equal chance of drawing interest from a smaller program or a struggling D1 program. It's all very scary as UA's chances of hitting on 3 in a row are slim.

You're dealing with 18 to 22 year old young men with lots of testosterone and undeveloped brains. Some things are bound to happen no matter how hard you try. Groce and staff have done a nice job of sorting through the available players, avoiding the kids with obvious warning signs and bringing in kids that have the type of character to avoid trouble, while other programs are willing to look away from the obvious warning signs if a kid is talented enough.

They always give the number 1 seed the earlier game time, purportedly as a reward for being the top seed, to give them a little more time between games.
-
He was playing for a team in Manchester, England. Maybe it's their off-season.
-
I'm not giving back a win but that second half was frustrating. This team seems to need to feel a little pressure to step on the accelerator late.
-
Since we already have this thread, I don't see the need for individual game threads for the MAC Tournament. It would be tough in any event with the quick turnarounds.
-
Sloppy second half performance by the Zips against an awful team.
-
A little wrinkle in the offense tonight with the bigs screening on the wing to free up a guy in the corner.
-
Nate sits to give Evan the start and Evan scores the first three points of the game.

I'm just perplexed as how I fell into that 1000+ word post. I've never much commented on scheduling with the exception of referencing Groce's acknowledgement of Ford's had work on the basketball schedule. 🤷♂️
