Teams don't give breaks to local kids and H-burg is not exactly local. The issue with him making the practice squad is more the number of RBs the Steelers already had. However, they are dealing with injuries and a suspension, so it is all sort of messy.

How many guys got a shot? Several. Most kids are just looking for a chance. Chisholm may still make the practice squad. He got a nice shoutout last week from the team for breaking one for 85 yards. If Justin isn't on the Chiefs practice squad, he will likely be with someone next year.

I can't remember where I read it, but I do remember reading that there were scouts at camp this year. I remember seeing scouts at the Howard game last year. This year's seniors have to be encouraged with the recent success of Zips in the NFL. I would have to think that several guys from the front 7 on D have a shot. It would be nice to see a couple, like JB get drafted. I have appreciated the way JB has always quietly taken care of business.

Last camp feature: linebackers

Their predictions were insulting and ignorant (80-5). We may have trouble scoring, but our defense will be tougher to handle than they predict. I hope it is as quiet in Norman at half time as it was in Happy Valley. TB has yet to get blown out by a power 5 team since coming to Akron. I don't expect it to start now.

+1 for fireworks. It brought fans to the games when the Pirates stunk.

I don't care who it is, as long as it is better than last year. Leadership and the ability to put points on the board are musts if we want to win. Seems pretty basic, but they just weren't there last year.

There is a lot to look forward to: a slimmer, more agile Conner Hundley, possibly Chapman at QB, Jerome Lane and if he can be the big play guy that we need, How good is Donnell Alexander? How much of a beast is Darryl Monroe? Can Rodney Coe live up to his talk? Is what we saw from Brock Boxen at the spring game just the beginning of a fierce career as a Zip? What does the OL look like and can we run the ball consistently?

Did you watch Pitt at all in 2014? Not good. Zips win was not a surprise given how good our D was and how poorly, in general they played in 2014. There isn't much to indicate a drastic improvement for 2015, so I expect a competitive game. Narduzzi may improve things, but that takes time. Yea, TB out coached Christ, but coaching can only do so much.

I don't get why people are so high on Pitt. They stink. They had James Connor last year, too. Not impressed.

I mostly agree, but I am not sure the results will be much different. Their defense has not noticeably improved and our's is likely better than last year.
