No Ray-Ray Smith, either. Greyshirts?

Per EA, practices are closed. There probably won't be a lot of news out of camp this year. http://www.cleveland.com/sports/college/index.ssf/2015/08/akron_zips_start_grid_practice.html?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter

Good work. Looks like 109 kids and I believe you can only bring 105 into camp. Also, Avery Cagle was listed on signing day.

Justin March featured on the Chiefs website as a play of the day, forcing a fumble. http://www.kcchiefs.com/media-center/videos/Plays-of-the-Day-LB-Justin-March-Forces-Fumble/9ecbbebe-7440-48ef-9b63-c6c7112541d1?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter

Whatever. I forgot there were some Chisholm-haters here. I don't see anything that implies he missed a hole.

Ran right off the tackle for 20 yards • Cut off to the right for about five yards• Ran for three yards to the left• Five yards up the middle• Arthur Moats nailed him in the backfield for a five-yard loss• Ran off-tackle to the left in the red zone, cut back and had the whistle blown as he found open space That's how. Come on. Are you seriously implying the o-line wasn't awful last year? I saw improvement at the spring game believe Funk seems to have a handle on this.
-
Not too bad of a start. Gives you a glimpse of how badly the O-line performed last year. With Bell's 2 game suspension he could could get enough reps to land somewhere where they have a true opening.

Scarborough's next move...

One thing no one ever mentions that pretty much all colleges dove into construction-pallooza that to the Obama "stimulus" money being designated for capital projects, only. There was tremendous pressure for higher Ed to participate in the construction frenzy. Thus, many colleges have new dorms. -

Nope. Nothing to do with anything mentioned here. Other sources.

Yes, they knew their vote had no power and were doing it for publicity - bad publicity. If they had a clue about what they were talking about, they would have known, that just dropping the football team to 1AA was not a realistic possibility given the implications to other sports. Secondly, SS could not come out and condemn their remarks or vote without looking like a jerk and was forced to make the football program look bad, instead. It was incredibly unprofessional and they acted in their own best interests, not those of the students or university. It was selfish and childish. How do you think the football players, band, cheerleaders, equipment managers, and other students who support the program feel about the faculty now? If I were a prospective student that type of garbage would be a huger turn-off.

Don't know if they are running the fleck bone, the triple option, or any other O, but it will be different than what they did last year, so, my point is still valid.

Whatever the changes are gives us a slight advantage going into the season - no tape for opponenents and new players at key positions (RB, reciever, TE, and possibly WB.)

Wishful thinking on your part, Lee. Moving to 1AA is not on the table. We would still have to pay for the stadium and the savings from scholarships would be off-set by losing the big game contracts and TV contracts. Besides, it wouldn't be just football moving to 1AA, it would impact our MAC membership for all sports. The ignorant faculty members who voted and publicized their vote were acting like children, putting their new president in a bad position. They should apologize. Besides, if anyone can pout those concerns to rest, TB can.

Pitt - even if it rains, it should be a warm rain. Should be a fun atmosphere. Hopefully, the university runs some promos to fill seats for it. Maybe the Lebron James foundation will buy tix, again. -
D'Orazio back with the Pats.

Scheduling this game on Black Friday is incredibly ridiculous. What a great way to kill a rivalry. Neither school has anyone show up.

The bathrooms are the nicest I have seem in a college football stadium. They are immaculate.

92.3 The Fan to discuss "Rumors" Football to move down
zipsoutsider replied to K-Roo's topic in Off Topic, Smack & Jokes
This us a valid point about SS and the AD. The faculty senate acted irresponsibly by creating public turmoil with a superficial understanding of how things work and intentionally put their new prez and interim AD in a bad position. Compete lack f professionalism. -
Who cares what the faculty senate thinks? Maybe they would like to get demoted to Community College profs. Seriously. They know about us much about the budget, cost and benefits of the football program as Hillary Clinton knows about email servers. Them voicing an opinion on it is one of the most ridiculous things I have ever seen. What a joke. We haven't even made serious efforts, yet, to rectify the financials and some people are ready to sell the Zips down to 1-AA. This anti-football sentiment (yes, I consider the idea of going to 1-AA anti-football) is one of the most ridiculous things I have seen.

Where does the axe fall next?

Isn't this exactly why CEO's now have to sign off on all of the company's financials? The president is, ultimately, responsible.
