I think Kato played really well last night, but I would argue that if we would have gone more to a pass first offense with Woody, we would have seen similar results. Also bear in mind, we are running with a smaller playbook with Nelson, right now, and he might hit a wall against another team. Not saying he will, but it's a possibility. The coaches are working hard to help him succeed.

No mention of our ability to shut down their high scoring offense, or the fact that we won the turnover game, the total yards offense game, and were able to basically tie time of possession. Gutsy defense by Amato. We went after the run and they had to throw it, and they blinked. Coach Mounds is the bomb. Second half D really stepped up and stopped the run. Loved the pressure we put on Rourke after we got in his head. They had Daily's number, but the rest of the D really played well. Random thoughts: 1. Worst special teams of the year. Probably where attrition through injury was most obvious. Specialists had a rough night, though. 2. Kato was so much better tonight. He seemed to have had some good coaching over the week and the 1st half, in particular, was an excellent game plan. Pass opened up the run in the first half. 3. I have no idea how we won.
