  1. Yes, agree. Time for something like the fake punt, if it's there.
  2. Did Booker run the ball in high school at all? I have been wondering about him on red and 1 and 4th and 1 situations...aa in Cody Grice situations.
  3. I agree. Very little wrapping up. I will say the Zips are doing a better job at wrapping up this year than last year but still a long way to go.
  4. I think it is possible that Toledo is still the best in the MAC.
  5. We cannot win without Woodson. Everyone, here, is justifiably mad at his behavior, but we need him to win. That said, we need to go back to airing it out to open the run or just go all out air attack. We will not be able to stop Oulette but maybe the red zone D can come through for us enough to give the offense a chance to win it.
  6. I agree about Sands. I am pretty sure they described it as a 1 week suspension on the radio.
  7. I suspect he had enough prep time and what we saw last night was him trying to do too much. We have seen what his dad is like. There is probably tremendous pressure on him to be an all-star.
  8. I hate to say it, but I do not want to witness 3 more years of this type of garbage. I hope Alex Ramart blows everyone away in spring ball.
  9. Woodson out Sands and Council out early. Who really thought we were going to win at this point? Kato is OK but Ramart is going to give him serious competition. Our receivers were underwhelming tonight, except for Smith and Chapman's TD catch. K. Brown did a nice job tonight. He got beat a couple of times but he beat them more often. Featherstone has stepped up his game and is making an impact. Nice job at the end of the game by Trevor Brown in running interference between Nelson and Miami defender to keep Nelson from picking up a penalty.
  10. Oh, the flavor of the night is to blow things out of proportion. Don't try to introduce perspective, lol.
  11. We brought in a few this year: Ramart, Kelly, and Johns.
  12. I see why Bowden continues to QB shop. Kato's long ball is ugly.
  13. Kato has played OK but unless the second half is titally different, Tommy's job is probably safe.
  14. If ganes were won and list by stats I would agree. But since they are win by scoring, it's tough to say they are awful. #18 red zone D in D1.
  15. What a weird season this has been.
  16. Brandon Council has done a nice job for us, too.
  17. It is entirely possible to have been fans of both.
  18. Woodson suspended tonight. No comment other than violation of team rules.
  19. Wow, who knows how ready to play this guy is and they bump the spread that much?
  20. Take it for what it's worth:
  21. "As for the turnover battle, Martin acknowledged that has been a problem for the RedHawks. “We’re not only hurting our defense with turnovers, we’re hurting ourselves,” Martin said. “We don’t play a high-possession game. We’re not an up-tempo offense. That’s the area we’re going to continue to focus on.” This might make the difference in the game. We have done fairly well at protecting the ball and our D has done well with interceptions this year. We do not seem to strip the ball well, but our CBs and LBs have a nose for the ball.
  22. Am I remembering correctly that we were bumped, unannounced, last year to ESPN 3?
  23. Zips & Bulls Will Be MAC Daddies in Tuesday's Double Dip Miami Ohio is 0-4-1 ATS in their last five Tuesday games. Miami Ohio is 1-4 ATS in their last five home games. Miami Ohio is 1-6 ATS in their last seven games as a favorite. Akron is 5-1 ATS in their last six conference games. Akron is 7-1 ATS in their last eight games as a road underdog of 3.5-10.0. Akron is 4-0 ATS in their last four games after allowing more than 280 yards passing in their previous game.
