TB on the MAC HC Presser Call

Agreed. I think the team has more respect for TC than TW. They know they need TW to have a good year but they have never seen him as a leader. Many players have voiced that opinion. They like him but don't see him as their leader. Ball on the other hand commands respect and attention. TC is respected for his level of sacrifice.
And yet, I have heard players voice the opposite about TW.
One offensive captain - hard to pick between a guy like Ball and TW. I think people are reading too much into this.

Our QB, if healthy, which is a big IF, is one of the better QBs in the MAC. The bigger concern is WR. We lost two guys from last year who are currently on NFL rosters. There are a handful of guys that could have made a leap and turned into respectable WRs, but its a big question mark.
It really sounds like Tommy (QB) is back in prime form. The real question marks remain at the DL and the WR positions. I am not sure that this is a game we will be able to use to judge how much better our defense is.

Should be the best early test of how we will hold up against our MAC opponents.

Colts' Jojo Natson: Gets Time with the first-team offense
To be honest, none of the looks he got as a WR were all that great of throws, except for the slant he caught at the end. One catch was made down near the goal line and he saved a bad throw, that was very low. On one kick-off return he hit the crease like a bolt. If they let him return kicks, he will break them for the Colts. He has remarkable field vision.

Not sure if he posts here, but Jamie Calvario picks the Zips to win the MAC.

The next three for Thursday - top three producing WR's this year.

I always felt like Bickley was so close to becoming an explosive player but never quite crossed the threshold. In addition to drops, he was fumble-prone. I hope the 2 years out of the spotlight gave him the chance to develop into the second coming of Jojo Natson, but I am not counting on it.
Everyone seems to think that Chapman has become a legitimate receiver and I really hope it's true. I would think there has to be an advantage with him understanding the QB's mindset.

Zips FB Video isn't what it used to be.

So wish we would have had more than a year with him. Most exciting Zip in a long, long time.

It looks like Jojo has really become an Indy favorite. Good for him. Hard work and determination pay off.

The Giants have seen 3 receivers leave the game with injuries tonight. Jerome might earn a roster spot via attrition if this keeps up.

FYI - bus trip to PSU is now sold out.

Had Warren stayed at OSU, there were roughly ten P5 games on the schedule that he'd have needed to endure.
At Akron, there's two. Of all the players on the Zips roster, he's the one most built to withstand 4 quarters of P5 football.
Run, Warren run!
You don't sit a kid who wants play in the league in a P5 game.

Concerning the D...
We look to be stacked like pancakes at DB and DE.
But I'm pretty concerned that it looks like we've only got 4 viable DT's:
Brock Boxen 6-3, 290
Ibrahima Camara 6-3, 285
Darius Copeland 6-1 275 (though he got pushed around a lot last year)
Brennan Williams 6-1 285 (& he hasn't played much thus far in his career)
DeAndre Brimage will likely be redshirted. We can't afford an injury at DT. It could derail the season. (Is it strange that we have 18 OL but only 4 DT's?)
At LB, we moved two of our best looking prospects to DE:
Jamal Davis ii 6-4, 235
Josh Ward 6-2, 240
Though we've got the MAC preseason DPOY in UGIII, this leaves us awfully inexperienced at LB.
We play the DE as a hybrid DE/LB position so it isn't as big of a deal as you might think.

I will be really surprised if he does not make the roster and return kicks for the Colts this year. He has earned it. He is also using the same elusive moves to create space for himself as a receiver. I love that he is having such success. It's talent, but it's more than talent. He wills himself to success.
