Such a thorough analysis that totally misses Warren Ball. I also think Austin Wolfe is slightly under-rated. He was eclipsed by JoJo and Jerome but he is a fairly reliable guy and has made some amazing grabs. When you think about WR, we are so much better than we were 3 and 4 years ago. I do agree with their DE position analysis. It's probably our most vulnerable position. I also expect some competition for punter and kicker. We might have O'Leary kicking FGs and another guy kicking off. The article did a pretty amazing job framing how dire the injury situation was.
I really think this was a great commit and we will have to work to keep him. I hope he is watching practices and really starts to feel a strong Zips connection, early.
Good work, @Balsy.
This would be a good basic article for GT to write to get conformation or corrections. Most reporters covering a college football team would.
I was thinking about this question, again, today. I think we could also see Dre Williams at some point in 2017. We don't have anyone else on the roster that his style of play.
Yeah...starting to throw in June will likely still be a slow rehab process.
I actually think we might be deeper with talent in the deco dart . Ore than anywhere else on the roster. There was some very good play from younger players last season.
Northwestern to host Akron in 2018, Miami (OH) in 2022
"The Zips will receive a $1.2 million guarantee for the game, according to a copy of the contract obtained from Akron via a public records request."
I have mixed feelings about this. 1) We need the money. We aren't going get a million in ticket sales. 2.) I hate what ESPN3 does. Hate it. Hate it. Hate it. 3) The move to online viewing might be a win-win/ We would still get some money and perhaps be a better schedule. With more online viewing occurring it, it might not be as damaging as you would think.
