  1. I saw a pretty big rise in the level of his play from 2015 to 2016, before the injury. I hope he is as focused during this off-season.
  2. I wonder if he got homesick? It happens, seriously. Gasser did a great job with directional punting but was a little short on leg and his height leaves little room for him in terms of handling a bad snap or field vision. I don't feel like he helped or hurt us, tremendously, last year.
  3. Not a fan of the cold weather?
  4. Looks like a preferred walk-on: Jonah Wieland, P, Hudson 6' 2", 216 lbs
  5. 247 Sports has him as a hard commit for us: http://247sports.com/Player/Moris-Lugo-89738
  6. I thought the same thing. We could have been pursuing transfers, too. It would be nice if we could score him. We really need to build depth on defense. I am still hoping we have a few good transfer scores before August. I would like to see us add one or two guys with experience on D before fall camp to give some of the recruits time to develop.
  7. I think 2 obvious exceptions are BYU and Liberty. We offered SVSM DE, Eric Bentley 6'3" 255 lbs He is listed as a hard commit to YSU
  8. Now would be a good time for TB to hop on a plane and visit Uriah Gilbert: New Baylor lawsuit alleges 52 rapes by football players in 4 years, 'show 'em a good time' culture
  9. One Friday, one Saturday, one Sunday. Seems do-able. That being said, he definitely seems more interested in Iowa State and Michigan.
  10. He had a tweet last week with about 3 schools (cannot remember which ones) but it is gone, now.
  11. I really like our home game schedule, except for Ball State (meh) but I am glad we are at home for that one because Ball is improving and they are going to go hunting for us like we do Ohio and BGSU.
  12. I will miss seeing Jerome play, but I will not miss hearing the "Send it in Jerome" story every single game or the "Send it in Jerome" corny lines every time he scores.
  13. He visited several schools last weekend. He may do the same this weekend.
  14. Keshaun Clarke RB/SB Western HS, Davie, FL 5‘9" 193 lbs

  16. We actually showed a tremendous amount of improvement in this area. Penalties decreased, significantly over the course of the season. Younger players make more mistakes. We played a lot of less experienced players this year on the OL and defense.
  17. I have read that overall, this is not one of the strongest draft classes for WR so perhaps that motivated Jerome to go early.
  18. Derrick Hunter Jr. DE, DT 6‘ 5" 240 lbs Dunbar HS, Fort Meyers, FL Offers: NC State, Maryland, UCF
  19. Typo - should be DE.
  20. Brenon Thrift, ILB, TE 6' 3" 290 lbs Graduated Gateway HS, Monroeville, PA (2014) Temple, Lackawana JUCO, PSU He redhsirted his freshman year at Temple (2014) , played his sophomore year at Lackawana,(2015) and then 2016 at PSU (no action.) At PSU, he was a RS Junior with 2 years of eligibility left. Seems like he would have to sit out. Would he need an exception? You have 5 years to complete 4 years, correct? Penn State Football: DT Transfers Out Of Program As CB Transfers In Report: Penn State DL Brenon Thrift no longer with program His Twitter says he is part of PSU's class of 2019. We can probably do better, but he might add some depth.
  21. Miami Southwest ATH Te'Cory Tutson 5' 8" 160 lbs, played RB
  22. It doesn't look like anyone. He seems like a really good find. Due to school closing and then going to 2 different schools his senior year, he fell through the cracks. Also, I believe St. Pius X and Bethai were both AAA schools in a state where AAAA is king. Plenty of talent comes out of AAA football, however (Brock Boxen, for one.) The ootball coach from the third school, who never coached him, helped him with recruiting. Boxen also grey-shirted, I believe. Patriots Sign Dotted Line
  23. I think if he is 100% healthy, again, this is true, although, Bowden will likely portray it as an open competition. You will be able to tell by the # of reps given to each at the spring game. I think we will have 3 QBs who are game ready in September. This is key.
